Born in Manchester, England, the designer moved to the states when she was 12 years old, her father taking a professor of Anthropology position and her mother working as a sculptor. With creative thinking in her blood, Ainsley started to design in-sync with the social happenings around her. Though she is inspired by hardship like war and global warming, her designs are flowing and timeless.
