Xcel will pay Mizrahi the $31.5 mil at closing in a combination of cash and stock with an additional $32.7 mil upon achieving certain minimum goals in royalties over a four year period.

Mizrahi’s licensing includes his lifestyle collection, IsaacMizrahiLIVE and Liz Claiborne New York, both of which are sold through QVC. His eponymous high-end line is not included in the deal and will sadly and most likely be phased out. [WWD]

Why is the Wen cleansing conditioner so fantastical, you ask? It’s your everything cream. All at once it is shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner. So essentially it’s the only hair product you need.

I used it last night on some seriously damaged hair (really, I’m -eeek- a few months overdue for a haircut) and the results make me believe I can continue on like this.

Because I ordered from the infomercial, I got the following products – and had to damn-near start a fight to make them not send more stuff/sign me up for things:

I used the Cleansing Conditioner as per the instructions – first product you put on in the shower and the last thing you wash off – with the recommend amount, about 20 pumps per use (for my type of hair). Which by the way is the only drawback I have found. Chaz insists that the more you use and the longer you keep it on, the better your hair will be, but is that a selling ploy or the fortunate-for-him truth. It sounds like a bit of both.

I then used the deep conditioner “Remoist Treatment” as an overnight hair mask. OOOH my hair looked fresh out of the salon by time I woke up.

The “Styling Cream” was refreshingly not sticky, and thus didn’t leave me with that icked out feeling. And though it says sweet almond mint, smells like a fruit cocktail which I didn’t mind at all.

As far as I’ve found, you can get this package for $29.95, or a bigger 3 month supply for $89.95. You can also order from a third party like Amazon or QVC – a 16 oz bottle ranges from $28-$40. But from the way I felt after using the deep conditioner, I must recommend the package deal.

Plus, Chaz Dean has an interesting story – photographer turned hair and makeup artist who now capitalizes on the whole package.

I’ll keep using it and tell you Wen.

I had the pleasure of trying the Bel Visto set from Borghese. This is how it went down:

1. First I washed my face with Esfoliante Delicato. It was both purifying and exfoliating. My skin felt clean and soft afterwards.

2. I followed the wash with Effetto Immediato Spa Soothing Tonic for Sensitive Skin. Toners tend to dry out my skin and make me peel. But this alcohol and fragrance-free toner cooled my skin and made it feel smooth.

3. I never use eye cream, but I used the Fluido Protettivo Advanced Spa Lift for Eyes next. We forget the delicate skin around our eyes needs moisture too. This cream is lightweight and soothed my tired peepers.

4. Finally, I applied the luxurious Dolce Notte Re-energizing Night Creme to my face and neck. It is rich without being greasy and heavy. I woke up this morning with hydrated and healthy-looking skin.

5. After washing and toning my face this morning, I lightly massaged CuraForte Moisture Intensifier to my skin. This firming moisturizer actually strengthens the skin’s ability to retain moisture. My skin feels soft even after wind and ice blew over it on my way to work this morning.

6. I finished my facial routine this morning with Crema Straordinaria Da Giorno SPF 25. It made my skin feel silky, and I can have peace of mind knowing it is protected from the sun.

7. I am already a religious user of the Fango Active Mud for Face and Body. I apply this deep cleaning and moisturizing mask once a week for detoxified, polished skin. And it doesn’t make your face feel tight like other mud masks out there.

Zoe apparently intended to keep the collection under wraps by confiscating all cell phones “à la Tom Ford,” but Harper’s Bazaar took a giant crap on that plan when they tweeted this photo:

Speaking to WWD, Rachel dropped the gender of her baby, which she was also keeping secret (she’s having a boy) and discussed her line.

Zoe collaborated with Li & Fung for her collection of tailored suits, sequined cardigans (!), organza party dresses, suede  boots, leather-trimmed capes (!!), platform pumps in matte croc and even a le smoking jumpsuit (!!!) which will be priced from $250 to $700.

Meanwhile, I die. I’m dying. I’m dead.

Rachel hopes the collection will be sold next to Diane von Furstenberg, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang, though no retailers have been confirmed yet. But Li & Fung’s chief strategy officer, Alan Chartash, has confidence in Zoe:

“I think there’s going to be a price balance. We felt that [contemporary] is her audience. She’s already done something affordable for QVC.”

Well if QVC is on board….Now back to that dress.

Jane Keltner de Valle, fashion news director at Teen Vogue, tweeted this pic (Twitter is clearly the bane of Rachel Zoe’s existence) of a vintage dress Zoe styled in an October 2007 issue of the mag which is basically a straight-up knockoff:

Although there will be no front row, QVS is streaming a live show for their 3 season at fashion week on Feb 13th. Lines such as Rachel Zoe for QVC and Isaac Mizrahi will be showcased. This email was apparently sent out as an explanation:

As you may already know the QVC Show is a live broadcast and we do not do the conventional seating at the fashion show. Also, if you and a guest would like to view the actual show the reason why we can not put you front row is because you are stuck to stay the entire show since it is a live broadcast without commercials. However, we can escort you and your guest inside and have seats that you will definitely have prime viewing. These seats will allow you to go in and out of the show at your leisure.

Rachel Zoe’s QVC line hits QVC.com on September 12, but images of some of the products have leaked. Looks grossly cheap to me…

Okay, you can’t really crash this party, but you can watch it on QVC August 1st from 2-4. Celebs like Mena Suvari and Haylie Duff have been spotted wearing QVC finds (which is said to be the ‘Rolls Royce of garage sales’…clever!)

QVC has teamed up with the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) to give viewers a good deal on their ‘Super Saturday’ goods, as well as support a good cause. Part of the proceeds from online purchases (QVC.com) will go to the OCRF. Tune in and save! They’ll be broadcasting from the Hamptons, and we’ll all be watching and wishing we were there!

WWD reported this morning that Erin Fetherston was excited to enter the short-film business along with Juliette Lewis.  However, Fetherston later set the record straight: no Lewis in the film (set to be made by Marisa Crawford), and no QVC either.

Fetherston’s husband, Hedi Ferjani was said, again by WWD to be setting up a project with QVC, but again, this was false.

With the Hamptons season almost here, seems like all designers are trying to get their piece of the pie, DVF will open a store (May 1st) , and Carmen Marc Valvo has designed a line of plates, to be sold exclusively for QVC.

According to WWD, the designer has developed Carmen Marc Valvo Home, tableware, serving pieces and decorative items. Entering the category is a first for Valvo, who said he entertains frequently in the Hamptons and “really gets obsessive about the food, flowers and matching the napkins to the plates.”

I like to think of Elisabeth Hasselbeck as the Lauren Conrad of moms.  She’s famous for being famous, is a cute blond on a TV show, and is now debuting a doomed collection of women’s clothing.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck for Dialogue will debut on QVC tonight at 9, but she gave this morning’s audience on The View a little sneak peek.

Hasselbeck actually got a Fine Arts degree and designed for Puma for a while. But, judging by the pieces in her line, any creativity she might have had in college is long gone.

Pieces will sell for $40-80. I’m actually tempted to tune in because I shamelessly and without fail buy into Hasselbeck’s drama and general shtick.  Oh, self.
