Friday night saw a return to Almond, the tony East End, boy’s-night-out hotspot in the Hamptons where I dined with Catherine Saxton (the fabulous PR maven who handles all of Ivana Trump’s ups and downs) who is a houseguest of Cathy and Rick Hilton.
FYI… the Hiltons have done an amazing job reinventing their glamorous Fordune estate in Southampton. It is completely bathed in white and teal and flooded with light. When I was there recently, I had a wonderful encounter with TINKERBELL – yes, you heard me right – as in Paris Hilton’s famed Chihuahua!
After dinner it was off to Lilly Pond for a sexy performance by none other then my “The Real Housewives of New York City” titled babe, ”The Countess” Luann de Lesseps. The best part of the evening: LL Cool J had a banquet room filled with his posse. Go figure…those two in a room so small from Bling to Ding?
On Saturday it was off to Polo… for some perfect weather and perfect people! It’s one big cocktail party with nobody really watching the game. On one arm, I had the ever-divine Adrian Arpel, and on the other, her time-challenged daughter Lauren Arpel. I was trying to get Madame Arpel to buy a helicopter. As everybody knows, the Montauk highway is a nightmare in August. Can you imagine if we had landed on the Polo field?

The 1990s were the golden age/ era of not only American hip hop, but Australian too…
I know, coz I was there!
In those days the fashion was all about: parachute sportswear jackets, shell-toes, air maxes, Air 180s, Nike structures, huraches, Lacoste, Jag, Country Road bags and embroidered jumpers, Sportscraft, Polo, Guess jeans, tailored shorts, tennis wears, Caribee backpacks, Jazz and New West aftershave, Kangols, Stussy, puffer jackets and vests, checkered/tartan button-ups, Timberland boots, Jordan and other fly shit too.
*These were the days before: the internet, graffiti t-shirts, graffiti spray paint brands, special paint caps, digital cameras, every man and his dog emceeing about beer and bitches…and the death of vinyl deejays.
These were the days of: swapping flix through snail mail, TDK tapes, walkmans, catching loops to thrash insides, 30 ml markers, raven oil, making mix-tapes, underage drinkin’ in the park, The Source, Rap Pages, Hip Hop Connection, Sprayed Conflict, Melbourne cops trashing pieces, Blitzkrieg, Recovery, IGT, Hype, Central Station, Zest, Vapours, Yo! MTV raps, going to good hip hop clubs to hear ragga, funk and hip hop,local releases only on tape and vinyl, Plasticotes, touch-ups, Krylons, Snapple, secondhand bargains, rolling cats in the city for their sneakers and racking everything in sight before the big stores got with the program.

The big weekend of the summer had plenty gossip to share and breathless Brad Boles was front and center in his pursuit of all things fabulous and gossipy —S.H.
Multiple Real Housewives, one diva, a rock chick and her boyfriend, a beauty maven, a newly christened male cougar, and 100 Russian hookers! All in between BBQ’s and events… so how was your weekend?
Just this afternoon, as I was having lunch at 75 Main Street in Southampton I ran into Kelsey Grammer and wife Camille. Now, it looked to me as if that is not a couple filing for divorce anytime soon… just sayin’. Don’t forget that Camille is rumored to be appearing on the new “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” I can’t wait to see how those Cali ladies compare to my New York girls.

The Fourth of July cover of “Social Life” magazine is a big deal out here. Smart of them to choose the super-gorgeous, Kelly Killoren Bensimon of “The Real Housewives of New York City” as this week’s cover girl. The inside of the magazine isn’t too bad either as there happens to be a fabulous picture of me at the art opening of “Social Life” creator and man about the Hamptons, Justin Mitchell.
Kelly was honored with a fabulous party thrown in her honor at Justin’s gorgeous house. You know that Kelly looked as perfect as ever on her cover and in the flesh.

It’s been quite an action-packed holiday weekend with Brad Boles in the tony Hamptons and Sharon Haver in downtown Manhattan. From celebrities to family adventures… they’ve got your dish and tips.
Problem: Where’s Brad? Talk about surprises when you’re live! Brad lost his phone connection and Sharon talks about some stylist gossip from back in the day until Brad turns up. Like the story about the model who tried to chew off the stone from her mega ring in the bathroom and the kooky security guard who would carry the gems to the photo shoot… pretty wacky.
Never a dull moment with these two and they certainly do have the gift of gab!

What a relief! Gemma Ward’s modeling hiatus wasn’t for the typical drug or eating disorder rehabilitation! Oh no, Ward has spend the past several months filming the dramatic Australian film Black Balloon with co-stars Toni Collette, Rhys Wakefield, Luke Ford and Erik Thomson. The film tells the story of a boy named Thomas (Wakefield) who moves to a new home and is forced to take care of his autistic brother Charlie (Ford) while his mother (Collette) rests due to her pregnancy. Thomas faces adversity caring for his brother, which allows him to embark on an emotional journey. Along with the support of his girlfriend Jackie (Ward), Thomas is able to better understand and appreciate his brother.
It might sound a bit like a combination of Radio, The Waterboy and Simon Birch, but I was definitely the lame-o choking up while watching the trailer. My excuse is that i’m simply so glad to see Gemma Ward back in action! Black Balloon opens in select US theaters Friday!
