You don’t know temptation until you live a mere four blocks from the Christopher Street Rag & Bone flagship store. I stop in to browse (and cry) nearly every week, a little too hopeful for Rag & Bone’s nonexistent sales. I came across this beauty the last time I peeked my head in, and I really can’t get it off my mind. Every girl should have a basic black or dark navy blue blazer in their wardrobe at this point, but if you’re picky like I am, this incredible Cheviot Jacket might just tickle your fancy. Not only do I love the double-breasting and the lapels, I can’t get over the gorgeous contrast between the twill suiting and the woven collar. Need a little more coaxing? Well, it’s 98% wool and has lining for all those chilly New York days. Oh Santa…

Tell me, what could be better than scoring 15% off all Rag & Bone purchases at the Zoë DUMBO location boutique? Hmm, well probably the fact that you’ll not only save money, but you’ll get to meet Rag & Bone’s own Marcus Wainright and David Neville, enter to win some Zoë giveaways and sip on a cocktail or two. Best of all worlds if you ask me!
WHEN: October 28, from 6:00PM – 9:00PM
WHERE: Zoë: 68 Washington Street near Front Street (DUMBO)

For those of you who paid close attention to the Rag & Bone Fall 2009 collection, you probably noticed two covetable pieces: the women’s chainmail shirt and the men’s chainmail scarf (both pictured above). Before you go running over to the Christopher Street store in hopes of snagging these amazing pieces, I did the dirty work for you and was informed that these pieces are not for sale. Stopping by for a quick price-check, I learned Marcus Wainwright and David Neville used the chainmail for styling purposes only and aren’t producing either the shirt or the scarf. Devastation.
The funny part is, I wasn’t the first person who stopped by the store inquiring about the chainmail. Hmm, maybe this is an indication that these pieces SHOULD be reproduced and sold! Next season? Please.

I love it when models actually have style outside of other people dressing them. Freja and Lilly are so cute in their leather and white tees!

I was wondering when Rag & Bone would decide to do eyewear, and after falling in love with their Spring 2010 collection, I realized the wondering was over! Along with their Spring 2010 items, Rag & Bone sent their new line of tortoise patterned, tough Aviator/Wayfarer inspired eyewear down the runway. As expected, designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville added their signature high-quality hardware and studs. So ready to get my hands on these babies!

Throw some vintage military and formalwear pieces in a bowl, mix, add a bit of modernity, and you’ve essentially got Rag & Bone Spring 2010 down to a science. Designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright really tapped into an incredible, timeless androgyny with slouchy, somewhat drop-crotch, pants for the ladies as well as some gorgeous jackets and leathers. The men’s looks are both classic and edgy, tight pants with military trenches and flannel pants with suit-coats. All in all, the collection was another stunner to add to the mix with a majority of several year-round, wearable pieces.

Georgina made it to Rag & Bone to celebrate the designers announcement of guest designer Jessica Stam. She look absolutely delicious. Wish I was there to sneak up behind here and try to touch her hair. Yes, it’s creepy, but that’s why I’m not invited to much…

Jessica Stam did a little more than just host Rag & Bone’s Intermix launch party last night. According to David Neville, co-designer of Rag & Bone with Marcus Wainwright, Stam has been designing with the duo and will be part of a collaboration due out for Spring 2010. With such great personal style, I have complete faith that Stam & Bone will be a success!
