Heidi Mount’s Husband Faces Rape Allegations

A model working London Fashion Week has accused hairdresser Shawn Mount of sexually assaulting her. Shawn, the husband of top model Heidi Mount, was questioned by British police over the alleged rape of another 24-year-old model, who wishes to remain anonymous, in a West London hotel room early on September 20. A Scotland Yard spokesman told reporters that they are still investigating the claims; Shawn vehemently denies all charges and, after questioning, was released on bail until November 10.

The New York-based hairstylist, who has styled for Vogue and Ralph Lauren ad campaigns, was in London working the runway shows while Heidi was on assignment in Milan. The details of the woman’s allegations have not been released by police, but the New York Post reports that both Shawn and Heidi know the alleged victim.

Heidi–who replaced Claudia Schiffer as the face of Chanel in 2009, and has most recently walked shows for Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, Rodarte, and Missoni–married Shawn in 2007. They have a 3-year-old son, Liam, and live in the East Village.
