Remember during last year’s Super Bowl when Kim Kardashian extolled the virtues of Skechers Shape-ups while writhing around with Humpday hottie Josh Kloss? Sure it all seemed like innocent fun and games…until the $40 million lawsuit hit. The Federal Trade Commission has ordered the footwear company to pay up for Shape-ups’ purported but unsupported health benefits.

Everyone wants a piece of Tim Tebow. The newly-minted NY Jets quarterback is a hot commodity these days, even without having played a single game in New York. Now Nike and Reebok are getting into a custody battle over that honored Christian soldier with Nike claiming that Reebok has been using Tebow’s name on NFL-branded material without authorization.

Despite dying of a heroin overdose in 1988 at the de rigueur age of 27, the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat looms large in the modern art world. Originally a graffiti artist hailing from Brooklyn, that spirit of early hip-hop rebellion has been channeled/co-oped by Reebok in a line of kicks and apparel, but at the height of his success, Basquiat was better known for working in Armani suits — a status symbol of the 80s if there ever was one — often emerging in public with paint splattered all over them. If all supermodels worked out like this then there would be a rise in gym memberships. Model Helena Christensen shows off her amazing body while wearing these Reebok EasyTone trainers that are suppose to shape you legs and thighs. Maybe I’ll invest in a pair so I will look drop dead gorgeous too.

In the fall, Reebok will release a tribute sneaker to Jean-Michel Basquiat, the NYC street artist popularized in the 90s. You can already get the blue ones on Colette. Keep your eyes open for these sick high-tops!
