Now that New York Fashion Week is over, it’s time to reflect, reevaluate and recuperate. My fellow editors and I dumped out the contents of our bags to document our Fashion Week experience, or at least what we remember that wasn’t wiped out by excessive drinking and turning.

Villionaire, Richie Rich‘s Fall 2011 fashion extravaganza — for it was much more than a show — was a wild romp through Wonderland with a pit stop over in the East Village. Tinsley Mortimer opened, JWOWW closed and somewhere along the way Johnny Weir skated out (figuratively) in what looked like a loincloth. But at the center of this three ring fashion circus were the clothes, a fun, wearable collection heavily inspired by the glamour of the 30s and 40s.

Though Heatherette is all but ancient history, Richie Rich is still a glam club kid at heart. Amidst a sea of models – bones and high ponytails from wall to ceiling – I met up with the designer and his design director Angelo Lambrou during a casting call for Richie’s runway show. This will be his second collection for his eponymous label and will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom on February 10th at 9 pm. Proceeds will go to benefit two causes very close to Richie’s sequined heart: DoSomething.org and Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. We discussed Richie’s fabulous inspirations, his fabulous friends and the first time he met Madonna. Which was, you guessed it, fabulous.

Last year, Richie Rich invited 350 bloggers to his runway show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Only to be outdone by himself, he is selling 2,200 tickets for his February 10 fashion show “Villionaire” at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC to the general fashion public with all of the proceeds going to charities DoSomething.org and CookiesForKidsCancer.org. On Wednesday night Zach Coopersmith and Joe Flaum, New Leadership Council members of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro New York, together with some of their closest friends hosted the first annual WishNYC: A Toast to Wishes event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York. You know the Fashion Indie & Lookbooks Team where there to raise help out.
