Jess – Faux fur bodybag from LF

1. My brand spankin’ new Macbook pro, that I would have died without. Frequented that AOL StyleList blogger’s haven with it on the regs.

2. Multiple sparkly Milani nail polish. I did my nails everywhere, painting over layers to change up the colors constantly. There was a rotating slew of colors that cycled through the bag this week.

3. Lipsticks: Illamasqua: The Box (rouge), YSL fucsia, Iman (Pat Field‘s) Jaguar

4. Business cards. Gave out about 75, received at least as many.
5. Several WWDs and Daily Front Rows. I do admit I love reading the Daily.
6. Tickets. Many. Some I’ve disposed of, some made it. Some standing, some seats. None actually with my name on it.
7. Various runs of show. Ones that have lingered in my bag: Timo Weiland, Anna Sui, Dennis Basso, Alexandre Herchcovitch.
8. ESSENTIAL: Blackberry. Can’t believe it took me this long to talk about it. Maybe because I’ve done so much damage on it that it actually just broke. Fashion Week broke my phone…. now…. iPhone?
9. Because that’s not an iPhone, that’s an iPod touch and it’s been keeping me cat walking myself from place to place.
10. Biggie camera. I spent 3 years, that’s 6 seasons in the PIT with this guy. Not this year. Now I just got to use it on celebs backstage, at presentations and the like.
11. WIRES. OMG. My bag was like a radio shack. Heaven forbid I should be without a charge.
12. Small purse. Vintage. Used it when I stashed the big lady mama at the after party coat checks.
13. Wallet. Duh.
14. Deck of cards? The last free gift to remain in this bag. They’re usually the first to go when I get home.
15. Voice recorder, which I ditched for my Blackberry video camera.
16. Pashmina – much lighter than a laptop case. I didn’t wear it, my MacBook did.
17. Vintage Korean flower cardi I wore yesterday. I took it off when the world got mild.
18. Urban Zen literature – got my reikis healed (?) in the AmEx Skybox. Still confused about the process, but I felt great after.
19. My handy dandy notebook. All of my show notes are in this little thing.
20. Napkin from Timo Weiland’s after party on which Paul Steiger (as in Walter‘s son) drew shoes for me. I’m going to the press sample sale today!

That is all that remains. I’m surprised I didn’t find at least 3 Frappacinos and a slew of Fijis, but I lightened my load as I went along.

Mac – Faux croc tote from 21Men

I used the camera to take amazing photos all over NYC this Fashion Week.The Coke Zero is used solely for caffeine purposes but Lord knows I dont need any empty calories. I have two pairs of sunglasses to switch up my eyewear but maintain my air of mystery. The Marc Jacobs ones were gifted to me by stylist Robert Verdi as was the Kenneth Cole cologne, Reaction (the scent is fresh and young).  Finally the latest copy of VMAN for the train and cab rides all over the city. And yes I still have the dollar that was in his mouth.

At the Richie Rich show I heard several people say, “Oh my god! That Rod Stewart impersonator looks so convincing!” I later learned that person was the real Rod Stewart.

When I interviewed him over a week ago, Richie Rich said that he wanted to his show to be “like a rock concert” and he certainly delivered with a grand spectacle featuring a harpist, an opera singer, an interpretive dancer, the Harlem James Gang and even a performance by Richie himself.

The collection, divided into two sections, stayed true to Richie’s club kid days while benefiting from design director Angelo Lambrou‘s refinement. The first section mixed Jean Harlow-inspired gowns flaunting slits well past the thigh and some 40s noir-ish silhouettes with sexy sheer tops, micro mini skirts and neon leggings.

The second section, however, was all lingerie, attitude and practically naked boys covered in glitter. The only thing missing was a disco ball dropping from the ceiling of the Hammerstein Ballroom. However, there were enough sequins in the audience to provide a similar effect.

Overall, this was the most fun fashion show I’ve been to in a while.  Richie remarked that he hoped to let “people in who never really get a chance to go to a fashion show.” Well, for those first-timers, this was an experience they won’t soon forget. That is, unless they went to the after party, in which case they probably don’t remember much of anything.

On this season’s aesthetic:

It’s sort of 20s/30s glamour meets East Village punkiness/funkiness. Imagine if Marie Antoinette fell out of the sky and landed in the middle of the East Village. We’re just going to let her have fun. But it’s going to be more refined and upscale.

On his partnership with Angelo:

Angelo’s kind of my design director, we’re a team, doing this line together. I hate titles, that’s the thing, but we’re having fun. We met on 7th St when I had my line, Heatherette, that was my studio. But he’s right across the street still on 7th St.  Keeping it real with the East Village. I was looking for someone to partner up with me and have fun and direct my crazy mind. It’s like when you decorate the Christmas tree, if you have too many ideas you need to edit it…I think Angelo brings refinement to my glittery fun.

On his upcoming runway show:

The show this season is on February 10th at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Fashion Week is usually very exclusive, invite only, but I’m opening my show up like a rock concert this year, letting people in who never really get a chance to go to a fashion show.

I never realized, like a lot of my friends that aren’t in the fashion industry,  I’ll invite them to my show and they’re like, “Oh my god, it was so much fun! I’ve never been to a fashion show before.” I always take it for granted because that’s what I do. It’s fun when people who haven’t experienced it get a chance to and see what it’s about. And it’s as much fun to watch the crowd as it is to watch the show.

This year I’m selling tickets to the show and proceeds go to DOsomething.org as well as Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, which is a charity for little kids who unfortunately have cancer. We have a good friend who passed away in the last couple days…It felt weird at first, selling tickets, but you know if you can help people it makes sense.

Then again this spring, I think I’m going to do another show to launch a partnership with a Fast Fashion House. I guess I’ll be the first designer that’s ever been the face of something they’ve done.

On casting models:

I look for personality. There are so many beautiful people out there that model. I don’t like one kind of look, I like everything. That’s why I love New York. It’s like an 80’s Bennetton ad. You have the amazing black girl with the Asian kid and the gay kid…I just think we all wear clothes, you don’t have to be a size 0 because beauty comes in all sizes.

On pre-Fashion Week jitters:

I don’t get nervous, really, it’s more like happy nerves, excited, energetic. I’m always like what if nobody shows up? I probably asked my mom that before my fifth birthday party. I don’t really get nervous or scared or intimidated, I’m more excited like it’s Christmas Eve. I just want everybody to come and have a good time.

The worst part is when something goes wrong, like when kids can’t get in or something’s wrong with the door. I’m backstage trying to get everything together and I have all these friends on the alert. You don’t know what’s going on and you end up getting in trouble the next three days or five months. That’s where the nerves come from. That’s the nerve-wracking part.

On other fashion shows he’s looking forward to:

I always look forward to all of it. I go to Marc Jacobs every year. He’s an old friend. I love him, he’s supported me a long time as well. But I just go with the flow. Fashion Week is such a rollercoaster, that’s why I like doing opening night because then it’s over with and I can just have fun.

On his celebrity friends walking the runway:

I didn’t really intend, when I started doing fashion shows, to have celebrities at the end. They just happened to be my friends and were out and about. A lot of people in the media are like, “Who are you having this season?” Your guess is as good as mine. I usually just call up some of my friends, ask if they want to do this. If it’s part of a charity, even better. It just kind of unfolds.

I’ll definitely have surprises this season. I don’t know the surprises until they happen. They’re really always last minute. Last year Ellen [Degeneres] finally called two days before [the show]…

I remember one season, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton were in a fight. So Paris is in one car and Britney is in another car. I went out to get them but they both knew each other was there. I didn’t know they were feuding and they decided not to come out of their cars.

And Kimora Lee was also walking so she’s like, “Well, where are Paris and Britney?” I said they’re not coming out and Kimora goes “Well I guess I’m the finale!”

Kimora was great, I like having other designers walk. I think it should all be a big family. I don’t believe in the whole competitive thing, we’re all having fun for the same reason.

On meeting his icons:

My friends enticed me to move to New York and I sort of moved here on a whim. The night I came they threw a party for me at this club in Union Square. I had long finger waves and was wearing this discoball-ish headpiece when Madonna walks up to me with a beer and a cigarette in hand.  She just kind of looked at me like, “Who is this?” and said, “Hey, what’s up?”

I’ve always been a huge fan, obviously, of hers – and I was just like, “WOW. I’m staying in New York!”

And the next night, I was living at the Hotel 17 in Gramercy Park with my friend Amanda Lepore, who was my neighbor and David Bowie was in the elevator with me. I grew up with my brother loving David Bowie. We ended up doing a photoshoot literally outside of my hotel room with Interviewmagazine. Then two nights later I met Debbie Harry!

New York came alive in a week. It just felt like it was meant to be. I think that’s why I appreciate fashion and pop culture so much: the sheer will of having a dream, letting it unfold and hopefully inspiring other people to realize their dreams. Which is what all those artists have done for me.

On his own style:

I pretty much wear everything from Dots and H&M mixed with Chanel, everything from Marc Jacobs to Prada, Dior, The Gap, vintage. I’m just all over the map. I think if you think too much it doesn’t make sense.

But on the flip side, if you do a fashion shoot and somebody else styles you, it’s fun to see how they envision you. Like popstars for example. It’s not really their vision, but somebody else giving it to them. Even Gaga, she’s bringing back to the surface what club kids did for years, but she’s smart about it. She has good people around her.

Kate Moss’s best friend, he’s gay, told me there’s always a good f****t around any fabulous girl. [laughs]

Over 300 guests including Jersey Shore‘s Vinny & Jerseylicious‘ Olivia were treated to an evening of mingling and dancing to music by DJ Chachi and DJ Cameron Smalls while sipping cocktails courtesy of  Tequila Avion, Sierra Nevada, Hennessy, Belvedere, 10 Cane and Ty Ku with water from Voss.

Partygoers were able to bid on a plethora of high-end raffle items including gifts from Valentino, a Ferrari driving experience from Gotham Dream Car, an album recording session, autographed memorabilia, sports tickets, hotel stays and more. Inspired by the exuberant mood, fashion designer Richie Rich helped raise $1,200 for the cause with an impromptu live auction, donating two front row tickets and backstage passes to his show at New York Fashion Week in February 2011.

The night was incredibly fun and truly magical.

In the Fashion Indie offices, when we here the words “sex tape” we get giddy with excitement.  Since there has been a lack of them coming out recently, we took it upon ourselves to compile our favorite couples we would like to see “getting busy.” Everyone knows not every sex tape  is good to watch, that being said we decided to split the list up into ones you really want to see and ones just too creepy to not look at.

The Ones You Want To See:

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady

She’s a Victoria Secret model and he is an hot Superbowl winning quarterback. (Who wouldn’t want to see these two hotties “doing the do”) These two are so hot I’m sure they’ve left a few hotel beds steaming. It might be harder for these two to film a sex tape now since they just welcomed a baby into the world but, after seeing Gisele’s post baby pictures it’s obvious she found a way to burn off the baby weight.

Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone

I think I had something really witty to write until this picture left me  breathless. Designer Marc Jacobs and his partner Lorenzo Martone make for a very attractive couple. I don’t care if you’re gay, straight, bi, or asexual this would be a sex tape to be seen and viewed many times. We do actually like both these guys for their talents but they are some serious eye candy.

Heidi Klum and Seal

This couple really makes me smile. (Partly because I think of how adorable they look together, but mostly I wonder how they look like in the buff.) These two need to hop on the sex tape bandwagon ASAP because everyone is waiting. I just hope they make one when Heidi isn’t pregnant, which seems like she always is. (We’re not that kinky.)

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom

Yes, another model and Victoria Secret Angel has made our list. (Maybe that’s her secret.) From the above picture you can tell that the public was so close to getting a glimpse of the two “knocking boots.” We hope that these two stay together for a while just so the opportunity of them having a sex tape released is still around. I feel like they would role play where he is the pirate looking for some booty. (Too much?)

Beyonce and Jay Z

Let’s be honest with ourselves, the main reason we want to see this is for the grand diva, Beyonce. After watching her new commercials for her fragrance “Heat,” I know I am left hot and bothered. These two have so much energy on stage that it would be interesting to see if they bring the same passion and intensity to the bedroom.

The Ones You Can’t Help  But Watch:

Now we absolutely love these two (Honestly!), but if these guys made a sex tape I don’t know how good it would be.  They seem like the couple I would love to see about the town and at premieres, but never in bed. The only sex between these guys that I am interested in is the new Sex and the City 2 movie, especially after watching this trailer.

Karl Lagerfeld and Any Paid Escort

Everyone knows that Uncle Karl loves to hire escorts, in fact that why he made our is of top pervs. I shutter to think of any sex tape like this leaking out. I don’t doubt that it will be fashionable but I would need a barf bag near buy. (Maybe Chanel should invest in making some condoms with the famous “C’s” on them. (I’m sorry, I just threw up a little)

Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman

Honestly, it’s hard to come up with reasons that this sex tape would even be remotely good. I can see it now: Rachel just laying across the bed in nothing but a fur with at blackberry in hand while yelling at Roger cause his Versace banana hammock doesn’t match his socks. (Sorry for the mental picture) This sex tape is really for anyone who has a fetish for chicly dressed skeletons.

Pamela Anderson and Richie Rich

Obviously we know that these two are not an item, but they are butt buddies. In fact I don’t even think is is physically possible for these two to even have sex together, let alone make a sex tape. (Contrary to the title picture) We’ve already seen Pam flaunting her sexcapades on camera before, but if they ever did one together I’m am sure eyes would be pulled out.

Lady Gaga and Herself

This wouldn’t be a list without Lady Gaga. Now there’s no one that can make a sex tape with Gaga besides herself because honestly no one can compare with her. I would imagine her sex tape not to be sexy at all but look more like a fashion and pop orgasm. It would become an instant hit like “Two Girls One Cup” but with more McQueen.

Dear Richie,

Please STOP! Just STOP! You have no talent, your look is soo dated, and your overall attempt at a fashion show was the worst thing I’ve seen since Perez Hilton tried to design wearable garments. Your front row was a joke, making people wait an hour for you to arrive is just plain rude, and then to showcase what you call ‘clothes’ on those you consider ‘models’ on what you consider a ‘runway’ was more painful then it was fun to watch. Not only did I feel dirty and had to go home right away to change my contact lenses, I also got a weave thrown at me by one of your male models, the fear of getting lice made me scream! Eww!

Using Pamela Anderson as a way to get people to attend your ‘event’ is a cheap trick, since she is just as much a has been as you! Her strut down the runway made me want to puke, then I realized you were right behind her on rollerskates which gave way for more uncontrollable bodily functions as I puked a bit in my mouth. You are NOT a designer, or a celebrity at that, you are NOT important, and if you fell off the face of the planet today (as you should do from embarrassment of what you presented to the public last night) you will NOT be missed! And if you choose to continue doing what it is that you do, please take us of your list, as we never want to even hear about your events in the future.

As Daniel Tweeted last night: ‘The real reason McQueen committed suicide, for fear of accidentally catching a glimpse of this show.’

“Well, I created Heatherette. It’s not like working at McDonald’s. I decided I didn’t want to do it anymore, because the backers we had were basically assholes. I love what I do, I’m an artist. It’s like being in a band. If the lead singer gets fucked over, you move on. I’m not mad at Traver, it’s just that the people who backed us who really weren’t nice people. They took advantage of us, in every respect.”

In New York, as in The Beatles’ song, you get by with a little help from your friends. So, when you find yourself not invited to any fun events, you reach out to those around you and do everything short of begging to be their plus one.

When on Sunday at the DKNY fragrance launch my publicist/friend Meghan invited me to the GenArt party that Tuesday night, I jumped at the opportunity. The GenArt film festival had already been in full swing since last week and I had yet to attend an event. It seemed fitting the party was hosted at BLVD on the Bowery as this year’s main sponsor was a car company.

Exiting the cab, I had high hopes when I saw paparazzi circling outside like hungry vultures—furtively glancing over in a vain hope one might take my picture. When that inevitably did not occur, I at least expected a celebrity-packed room inside. While there were a few bold-face names including Moby, Jennifer Love-Hewitt and that minx of a teacher from Gossip Girl who seduces Dan Humphrey, they were hidden away as GenArt separated the famous from the ticket-buying fans.

Even though I wasn’t one of the people forking over cash to go and gawk at B-list celebrities, I still couldn’t help but feel a little unfabulous after the event. So attending a party for “Beautiful People” was exactly what I needed to get my spirits and ego back where they belong: in a deluded fairytale world of red carpets and photographers.

You know a party’s exclusive when an editor can’t get into his own magazine’s event. On Thursday night, the stretch of sidewalk around Ninth Avenue and W 16th street was packed shoulder to shoulder with hipsters and downtown nightlife fixtures all vying to get inside Hiro ballroom for Paper Magazine’s “Beautiful People” party, celebrating the latest issue.

Word on the street was the event had received over 4,000 RSVPs and so the door was tighter than Joan River’s face. Thanks to my photo in the last issue and blatant disregard for the two-block-long line, I was lucky enough to make it inside, briefly making an appearance on the step and repeat before heading downstairs to partake in the revelry and company of the evening’s beautiful people.

Guests who made it in before the fire marshals put Hiro in lockdown included Kat DeLuna, Erin Fetherston, The Blonds, and Richie Rich while among those stuck outside were recording artist Estelle, Lydia Hearst, Paper Editor-at-Large Peter Davis and countless others.

While hundreds were left simultaneously fuming and freezing outside, inside DJ Cassidy—who also appeared in the issue—warmed up the party with a set of mostly 80’s dance hits. By 9:30, everyone seemed to be feverishly awaiting cover girl Katy Perry’s performance. Camera flashes exploded as Katy came on stage in a shimmery sequin mini-dress and launched into Hot N’ Cold. She rounded out her four-song set with a spirited rendition of “I Kissed A Girl,” all the while wielding a giant inflatable tube of chapstick.

After a night like that, I would have normally cashed out and ended the week on a high note, but when I heard from a much cooler friend there was a secret “Free Beatrice” party being held to rally support for the recently shuttered haughty hipster haven, I knew I couldn’t miss it—if only for indulging my ego by getting into yet another ultra-exclusive fête.

It was with some nervous excitement that on Friday night I made my way to the chic and newly opened Cooper Square Hotel where an elevator took us up to a giant penthouse with soaring city views on all sides. The picturesque location was probably the furthest thing from the darkened and dungeon-like basement of Beatrice, but the skinny hipsters were very much the same. There was smoking, Mary-Kate Olson and guys relieving themselves off the balcony and in the showers—all proving that you can the hipsters out of The Beatrice, but you can’t take The Beatrice out of the Hipsters.

Let me start out by stating that I am not normally a superstitious person: I don’t throw salt over my shoulder when I spill some, I don’t think twice about walking under ladders and my only chagrin about breaking a mirror is that I have one less surface in which to admire myself.  After this week though, I must say that I absolutely believe in omens, especially when delivered in the form of clothing.

Fashion is my religion so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that it was a pair of pants that decided the fate of my uneventful week.  It was with great excitement that I broke my recession shopping rule and purchased a pair of Cheap Monday dark navy pants with bright red polka dots (size 25 inch waist!) from Inven.tory.  In anticipation for the Topshop opening party, I knew that I needed something funky and fun as I would be competing with some major celebrity wattage for my Patrick McMullan photo credit.

When Tuesday night came around, I could no longer contain my enthusiasm for the pants and decided to give them a test run at Nylon Magazine’s 10^th Birthday Party.  Held at the Shang Restaurant in the “it” hotel of the moment, the Thompson LES, I thought they would be the perfect statement for a downtown, hipster party.

Alexandra and I had somehow confused the time, arriving half an hour before the party was scheduled to start so after making friends with the publicists at the door, we went across the street to a little French bistro to kill time.  As fifteen minutes turned into an hour, a veritable throng of bodies in furs, leather jackets and high heeled pumps had formed a line around the block.

Finally refusing to wait any longer, we pushed our way to the front and immediately entered thanks to our earlier brown nosing.  Thinking we’d walk upstairs to a nearly empty room as we still hadn’t seen anyone else coming through the door, we were shocked when the entire restaurant was packed with the who’s who of the downtown scene.

I was disappointed to see that there was only one photographer in front of a meager step and repeat.  “I brought out the polka dot pants for this?” I whispered to Alexandra incredulously as we posed for pictures.  After pushing to get a drink at the besieged bar, we moved into the back room where we ran into Richie Rich hanging on the arm of singer Kat DeLuna.

We were quickly tiring of the pushing and shoving around us so as soon as we overheard that there was a VIP gifting suite on the 7^th floor, we ditched the frenetic main room and made our way to the promise land (so we thought).  It turned out that the joke was on us as the alcohol had run dry upstairs and the most ‘famous’ person was a castmate from The Real World: Brooklyn.

Slightly befuddled, we made our way back downstairs where things had started improving.  The crowd had thinned out but the ratio of celebrities to commoners had increased.  I ran into my friend, America’s Next Top Model Winner Jaslene Gonzalez, who was hanging out with club impresario Matt Levine.

In the other room was a dour-looking Taylor Momson, party hopping from the private Topshop dinner at Balthazar.  Inexplicably, Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) was hanging out and looking rather out of place among the slightly grungy hipster set.  Definitely non-hipster, though, was Lydia Hearst, back from her charity work in Africa and wearing a custom silver corset by The Blondes—the same one Britney wore in her Circus album.

There was something slightly unfulfilling about the night and lack of press so Alexandra and I were out of commission for the next evening, vowing to come back strong for the Topshop party on Thursday.

When Thursday arrived, I once again donned the polka dot pants, determined to get them the press they deserved.  Our intel had told us that the Topshop party was in the store at 7PM.  I thought this was rather strange as the store had opened for business that day and it seemed unlikely that the place would be cleared and cleaned up for such an early party.

My suspicions were confirmed when the line snaking outside the store was filled with shoppers instead of socials.  After some urgent texting, we discovered that the party was actually at 9PM at The Box.  Already dressed to impress, we decided we’d do a “filler” event before Topshop to kill time and get a buzz rolling.  This was to be our downfall.

We bounced around from no-list to no-list event, the worst of which was the Marc Ecko store ‘party’ where a massive man straight out of a Suge Knight video was actually walking around with a pimp cane and hat.  The last time I felt that out of place was on 2^nd grade picture day when all the boys and girls were in their Sunday best and my mother had irreverently put me in a LA Laker’s jersey because she didn’t want to buy the photos anyway.

After forty miserable minutes, we left to attend the Complex Magazine party at Anchor Bar celebrating the Kanye West cover.  Once again, we had arrived early and were told to wait, something for which I have no patience.  When fifteen minutes passed and we were still on the wrong side of the velvet rope, I had had enough.  The last straw was when the flack outside told me they weren’t letting anyone inside as he opened the rope for a group of five to come inside.

I had such a bad taste in my mouth from the night that I refused to prolong my pain by going over to The Box.  Such was my week.  If you disapprove of the dearth of excitement, don’t blame me—blame the pants.

It’s so sad to see a fairly talentless designer continue to be fairly talentless. I was expecting more from Richie after the Heatherette split, but it seems the aging twink is just gonna try to grasp onto whatever few opportunities are left for him.

He’s launching his first compilation album called Only Play This at Gay Raves Celebutante, which will include music by Richie, Madonna, the Scissor Sisters, Lil Mama and other butt play friendly artists. And he will be designing a line for utterly uncool mall store, Hot Topic.  So basically, he’s completely out of cash and might be starved for a few remaining deals before the shine of fame diminishes from his baby blues.

Additionally, Richie is releasing a shoe line (also see; diluting his brand image) called Rox & Riley which was rumored to be a collabo with Hilfiger’s less rich sibling.

Oh, Richie, so many projects, so few people who actually care.

To say we have been a little harsh on Agyness Deyn in the past would be a completely safe thing to say, but after last night my view towards her is beginning to come around. When Fashion Indie found out Agyness was doing a DJ set at Plumm night club we knew we had to be there, so we rounded up the troops and headed out to the club. We spent the night eagarly awaiting her arrival as it got later and later. As I headed down the small stairway to the lower part of the club, who do I run into? None other than Agyness Deyn herself, and I will say she was very nice (and pretty) as I said hello and shook her hand. She was dressed very casual wearing a simple pair of jeans and a slightly oversized tee shirt. Yes if you can’t believe you are hearing me complimenting Agyness and her look you are hearing right. But that is enough of being nice. Agyness as a DJ, not so much. She more or less stood there and played a transitionless set of old classics like Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper. Just because her boyfriend Anthony Ellis (lead singer of Five O’ Clock Heroes and seen above with Richie Rich) let her sing on one track on his album doesn’t make her a musician or DJ at that. My final words of wisdom to Agyness Deyn, you’re a model not a musician. Get it right.

It starts with Daddy staying a little too late at work with his new secretary. Then mommy’s crying in the bathroom with a bottle of gin. And pretty soon you have two Christmas’ and a slew of step brothers who like playing “Hide the Inhaler” when you come over.

The break up is so eminent. Richie Rich has signed with shit maker Hot Topic to create a line of clothing without Heatherette.

“He didn’t want to do it,” sighs Richie. “They asked Heatherette to do it initially, but Traver said no, so I was like, well I’ll do it! I love Hot Topic!”

The line will hit the retailer in the near future and should fit well with equally crappy goods from Perez Hilton and Avril Levine.

Dammit Richie, we wanted to like you but this is unforgivable. Hot Topic is where emos go to die!!!

Richie Rich is reportedly going solo for his very first shoe line. Launching tonight in the LES, rumor has it that fave girl Lydia Hearst is hosting the party and wearing his first pair of shoes.

Very interested to see the collection, loved Heatherette.

Fashion Indie hit up this years Tulips & Pansies event with true swagger, dressing our asses up for the show that helped raise money for HIV/AIDS charities. The event was hosted by Gossip Girl/Model Lydia Hearst, Richie Rich and Travis Rains from Heatherette.

There was a ton of excitement (and Botox) in the air and a scene of real accomplishment as the giant floral monstrosities came down the runway. Fashion Indie favorites FORM took top prize, which got us all excited. We absolutely heart Jerry Tam.

Rebecca and I became acquainted with a bunch of fashion heavy hitters like Dandy Patrick McDonald, James Aguilar and Richie.  I got comfortable with wearing flowers. And we helped raise some capital for a great cause.  We’ve got over 150 photos so check some out after the jump…

As for the fashion, here’s a filler in case you missed out on what has become “hot”, it happens when your brand hasn’t mattered to anyone other than Paris Hilton in a few seasons.  Sequins are out, as are owls (that was the creature of choice two seasons ago, turtles are in, but most people prefer whistles or other random objects that aren’t furry or feathery), also is that a Ed Hardy T-shirt!!!  It better be Heatherette, our I’m gonna toss my cookies in a few seconds.  Also, what’s the deal with the hat? Did you swipe it from one of the Fly Girls at an In Living Color auction?

All in all pretty boy, your fashion sucks.  Which makes you our Hot Tranny Mess of the week!!!

(We probably won’t continue with the Hot Tranny Mess of the week for fear of getting sued by Christian Seriano. I’m sure the boy has pulled a Hilton an copywrited his catchphrase by now.)
