Over 75 designers including CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Robert Geller, Betsey Johnson, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch and recent CFDA womenswear designer of the year nominee The Row have contributed customized totes, retailing for $200 on eBay.

If that’s a little out of your price range, basic limited edition totes in four styles are also available for $45.

According to eBay’s senior vice president of global communications, Alan Marks, the demand was so great for the fashion forward totes they “doubled the size of the collection in addition to offering more styles.”

The collection goes on sale today with sales benefiting the CFDA Foundation. Check out some of the bags up for grabs in the gallery below. [WWD]

The CFDA Board of Directors chose to present their Special Tribute on Arthur Elgort in honor of his impact on photography and fashion.

The Fashion Icon Award will go to Lady Gaga for being a fashion revolutionary impacting style today.

“We look forward to once again honoring the best and brightest talent working today,” Steven Kolb, CFDA executive director said. “Winning a CFDA Fashion Award is the highest and one of the most coveted honors one can receive in our industry.”

I can hear the ring singing Mariah Carey’s ‘Obsessed’ to me right now.  Which I am.  Completely and totally obsessed with this Carelle flower cocktail ring. For those who know me, know of my infatuation and undying love of  jewelry, especially anything gold and colorful.  Carelle has handcrafted this beautiful 18k gold flower cocktail ring with an Amethyst center and amazing Iolite and Diamond petals.  Were they thinking of me when they made it? Jealousy is only one of the words I could use to describe the way I feel about my friend Jason Last being able to film some behind the scenes footage of the Robert Geller Fall 2010 runway show.The show was absolutely brilliant, and this amazing video gives us all a closer look at some of the pieces.

GQ’s designer of the year Billy Reid showed his latest Fall 2010 collection at the Mac & Milk venue. The collection is classic Americano, totally loved it. Nice choice GQ, and way to follow up after Robert Geller last season.

Robert Geller launched his collaboration line with Levi’s at Bloomingdale’s, and while I absolutely love the collection, the price tag is ridiculous. While I can appreciate what Levi’s is trying to do with their brand, you can’t go out and expect people to pay $95 for a Levi’s tee shirt? I’m a bit upset by this in case you can’t tell. Not even torrents of rain could dampen the mood at Robert Geller’s spring ’10 men’s collection. Despite many a soaked pant leg, a buzzing crowd packed the house.And as it turned out, the designer has been feeling similarly optimistic, even cheery. Geller was inspired by the hopeful spirit of Germans vacationing on the North Sea in the 1950s as the country rebuilt itself after WWII. Talk about specific, but in this case the relaxed shapes in wide stripes and vibrant pairings of royal blue, turquoise and violet was a nice relief from the leggings-as-pants we’ve been seeing on one too many man-boys on the Billburg-bound L train. Plus, for those DIY-ers, the nifty chiffon bow ties the models wore were whipped together backstage with nothing more than strips of fabric, scotch tape and safety pins. How’s that for optimistic?

Oh man Robery Geller, it took me so long to get the images of your amazing Fall 2009 collection out of my head after attending your Fashion Week show in February, and these photos are reigniting the flame. The collection was brilliant, and while men’s shows aren’t in abundance during Fashion Week, this collection still put on the best show for me. I’ll let the images speak for themseleves though. Robert Geller presented a collection that got into the darkest arenas of menswear. Models walked down black sand covered stairs as the dreary soundtrack beckoned a style that was sophisticated gothic glam. Black on black was the focus for many of the pieces which brought on a unique quiet to the collection.  Favorites included black leather jackets and tuxedo jackets with silver accessories.
