And the nominees are: director of photography Caroline Champetier for Of Gods and Men; Jessica Chastain, star of Terrence Malick‘s The Tree of Life; screenwriter Federica Pontremoli for Habemus Papam; Nansun Shi, the producer behind Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame; and producer/director of Attenberg, Athina Tsangari.

The winner will be chosen September 2 by Franco, Gucci creative director Frida Giannini and occasional actress Robin Wright formerly Penn. [WWD]

I’m really surprised that no one found this sooner, especially since it was directed by Daniel Day Lewis, and stars Keanu Reeves, Robin Wright Penn, Julianne Moore, and Winona Ryder, but apparently years ago Blake Lively starred in an indie film in the UK that aired at the Berlin Film Festival called ‘The Private Lives of Pippa’ where she plays a confused teen involved in drugs and bondage. I don’t think this is that big of a deal, everyone has to get their film start somewhere. Maybe Lively wanted to stray from her role from ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ and show she could be edgy? Needless to say, here’s the trailer to the film that is sparking a ton of controversy over her career..
