W Hotel Gets Newly Fashion-Directed to NY Fashion Week

The same branding visionary that paired M.A.C. and Lady Gaga years ago has now just been named the Fashion Director of W Hotels. It’s uncommon for hotels to have such a position, but then W is not your common hotel. This international string of boutique hotels now has Jenné Lombardo to guide them through her absolute specialty: New York Fashion Week. With her expertise, W will be sponsoring six designers’ of Lombardo’s choosing for shows at Lincoln Center. Find out which fresh designers will get a lift from W this NYFW.

Rochambeau debuts tonight at Oak! The event is from 6pm-9pm, and will be a great mix of music, models and champagne. They will also be featuring the launch of their life sized Spring look book. It’s at the Bond Street store, so don’t end up in Williamsburg!

Michael Venker got creative with his fall ’09 lookbook.  This shoot looks like works of art as opposed to photographs.  I wish more designers would think this out of the box, because although the clothes aren’t very clearly displayed, the effort behind the creative process is brighter than ever.
