Rogues Gallery has really found their niche in classic menswear, and they have turned it into something truly amazing. Here’s a look at what you can find in stores now

TRENDSPARK: Navajo Native

The Navajo look is beginning to grace the runways in preparation for Fall ‘09. Jackets from April77 and Rogues Gallery bring in the comfort in cool jackets, and Roberto Cavalli shows off Native American-inspired pants.
Rogues Gallery: Fall 2009 Collection

Ok so I don’t really to say much about this because it’s Rogues Gallery, and we all know it’s going to be the highest of quality. The collection is another fairly conservative look, but the use of stripes and that great winter print add a bit of flair. What’s with the duck boots though? They remind me of my Pennsylvania Dutch roomate, super hillbilly, super Middle American.

AND THE NOMINEES ARE…
GQ’s second annual Best New Menswear Designers in America awards is on the horizon and the nominees are out. The project, in collaboration with the CFDA, will select one of six up and coming designers to design a capsule collection for Levi’s to be shown at a special event in New York City February 11, 2009, along with $50,000 cash. The list is pretty much legit, with recently recognized labels that have made a distinctive impact in the world of men’s fashion. May the best man win:
Benjamin Bixby (Andre Benjamin, designer)

Robert Geller (Robert Geller, designer)

Rogues Gallery (Alex Carleton, designer)

Save Khaki (David Mullen, designer)

Shipley & Halmos (Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos, designers)

First Look: Rogues Gallery SS09 Collection

The latest collection from Rogues Status has shown signs of life, and that is just one more company that has managed to trudge through this economic depression as planned. The collection is a subtle mix of hoodies and more comfortable long sleeved items to help their wearers get through those disgusting rainy Spring months. Rogues Status seems to always slip my mind until I see it at Barney’s or any of the other numerous stores they show at. The pieces are always high quality and high comfort. Consider this a collection that I back whole heartedly.
Thanks Selectism.

Gargyle Moves to LES

We used to have this really great boutique right next to our office in Dumbo, then we realized they were having a huge going away sale. Wondering what that was about, we bought way too much stuff and now owe way too much to our credit cards. Now we found out that they were just planning on moving to the big apple, LES to be exact. Gargyle is now ‘conveniently’ located on 16A Orchard St at Canal, and still carries top of the line indie faves like Rogues Gallery, Corpus, 3:33 Footwear, Mjolk and timoWallets, with new additions including Acne Jeans, Billykirk’s rustic man-bags and lines from New York staple stores BBlessing and Opening Ceremony.
Thanks Urban Daddy for the update.
