Louis Vuitton Is the World’s Most Valuable Luxury Brand Yet Again

For the seventh year running, Louis Vuitton has been named the world’s most valuable luxury brand, valued at a very fashionable $25.9 billion.

Global research company Millward Brown Optimor conducted the study based on a brand’s overall performance as well as consumer interviews.

Coming in second place is Hermès, which Vuitton’s parent company — LVMH Moët Hennessy — has made no bones about wanting to acquire by snatching up any and all available stock over the past few years. And no wonder, Hermès stepped its game up by a staggering 61% to $19.1 billion.

The Rolly’s apparently on many arms and the Chandon is flowing freely as both Rolex ($7.17 billion) and Moët Chandon made the top 10, which also includes Chanel ($6.68 billion), Gucci ($6.42 billion), Prada ($5.7 billion), Cartier ($4.8 billion) and Burberry ($4.09 billion). [Vogue UK]

This spring leopard will be the must have print for the upcoming warmer weather seasons.

The high fashion inspiration comes from the Givenchy S/S mens collection which featured many leopard print pieces including the jacket Kanye West is wearing and the pants Garrett Hedlund wore on the cover of W magazine which are both featured in the image above.

It might be the Jersey in me but I’ve always had a soft spot for this specific animal print and now there are so many ways for guys to pull it off without looking gaudy.

I love that this look great in both high and low-priced pieces. For example if you want to go for a super sophisticated you can get the H&M Hearts Lanvin bow tie, special edition Rolex Daytona watch, or Gioacomorlli leopard horsehide studded loafers.

When it come to prints Jeremy Scott always does it right and that’s why you should pick up any leopard inspired pieces from his Adidas collaboration.

At the end of the day leopard is a wild and cool print. For the cool kid and trend setter these leopard shorts from Crooks & Castles. My favorite leopard inspired piece is probably the aviators from A-morir by the fantastic Kerin Rose.

We all know that you are rich if you have a Rolex, but who really cares. Rolex makes a nice watch, but when I step up to the bar with this Gourmet watch collaboration with Christian Tse, It’s about to get crazy. This super cool digital display has more diamonds on in that Paris Hilton has genital warts. The entire face is covered in diamonds, that cover the time until it is illuminated. This watch takes a bigger, steamier shit than the one in “two girls one cup” all over the “face” (get it!) of any Rolex I have ever seen. Elegant, classy, baller, yet not gaudy. Now I just have to sell my first born in order to get this bad boy.

Think the next counterfeit designer item is the new Louis Vuitton bag? Think again. The new counterfeit obsession, among us, is now blue jeans. Of the highly imported are True Religion, Joe’s Jeans and Antik Denim. Intercepting a whopping $18 million worth of apparel, customs officials have made it clear that the counterfeit items are rising in numbers from year to year.

“The counterfeiting problem exists with Rolex watches and high-end jeans because people want the cachet without spending the money.” says a property protection attorney from Chicago

People no longer want to stroll through central park with their knock-off rolex and peeling logo on a faux Prada purse. Jeans are carrying the weight of this side of the market. It truly is a substantial undertaking, and a surprising one at that.
