Mugler Super Man Fall 2012 Takes Paris

It’s the SuperTailor look. You know, the kind of tailoring made out of superhero materials like neoprene, rubberized cotton, jacquard… okay that last one was more for the Marie Antoinette type, but she was a cake eating hero, too. Nicola Formichetti and Romain Kremer put out a collection of modern party-after-businessman looks for Mugler Fall 2012. It’s not as wild as the typical Thierry, but the textures carry historical silhouettes into overtime.

MUST HAVE: MYKITA & Romain Kremer Sunglasses

MYKITA has teamed up with Romain Kremer for Fall/Winter 2010 and created these AMAZING sunglasses that come with an attached head piece. The model is called YURI (after Yuri Gagarine) and the idea is that these sunglasses also protect the third eye – the brain.

I can’t decide if these stills from a shoot directed by Pierre Debusschere are more ‘Back to the Future’ or ‘Transformers.’  Either way, I’m in love.  The blurs detract a bit from Kremer’s designs, but the concept is dreamy enough to make me curious to check out the rest of his stuff.

Interesting collection from Romain. Not quite understanding the padded underwear and felt dress like tops. Also, anyone notice the bright yellow wayfarer looking sunglasses? What’s up with that, very last season.
