At 10:30 DST on March 8th, she is required to be on the set in NY to film the season finale of Gossip Girl, and will not be sitting front row at the Chanel Fall 2011 in Paris. One would think that being the spokesmodel, the very face of Chanel would be enough to get you a one-day get-out-of-work-free pass, but apparently that is not the case. It’s tough times indeed for a Van der Woodsen.

No Chanel for Blake Lively

Hopefully, the bond between Master Lagerfeld and Miss Lively will not be broken based on such a trivial incident as Blake missing his grand show – a show in which she will be wearing most of the looks, a show that she will soon be representing. But no big deal, she’ll just catch up with Karl over dinner in Paris this weekend, and maybe get a sneak peek at the collection.
