DESIGNER TO KNOW: The Brooklyn Circus

Hailing from Brooklyn, this new brand is set to sail into Spring with a nautical theme for their second collection. The Brooklyn Circus seems to have put a lot of thought and time into their newest collection, and I will say it seems to have paid off. The collection seems a bit Rugby-ish, but I will say that I would much rather wear this than Rugby any day. Love the collection, and I loko forward to seeing more in the future. Designer Discovery: Maharishi
Maharishi is actually a London based brand that has been creating amazing clothes for quite some time now. They have had their designs worn by Kanye West along with other large stars. They design men’s, women’s, kids, and accessories. Their latest collection is a solid mix of denim and plaid, that doesn’t give me the played out plaid feeling a lot of other collections do. This collection reminds me a lot of a indie version of a Ralph Lauren Rugby look, that will score you more Soho street cred than Rugby too. For more on Maharishi check out their website!
Rugby Takes Online Shopping To The Next Level
The Fashion Indie Crew recently got a chance to stop by the Ralph Lauren Rugby store, and check out what may easily become the future of online shopping. Rugby is now allowing their customers the chance to literally window shop. Rugby has installed a large touch screen window display at their stores that allows shoppers to search the entire online store, and with a simple wave of a smartphone over the special barcode you can order your product right from your phone. This completely eliminates ordering something that looked good online, but like crap when you got it. I definately think there are still some kinks that need to be worked out, but I love where Rugby is headed with this, the possibilities are endless.
