MALE MODEL HUMPDAY: True Bone

My heart grew all aflutter the other day when I saw this — a preview of the upcoming fourth season of True Blood, premiering June 26th. Not since Buffy have I been so devoted to anything with vampires — and I mean anything. And a large reason for that devotion is the unprecedented amount of hot male flesh, often naked (thanks, HBO!) parading about on screen. So in tribute to the return of Sookie, Lafayette, Tara (who I thought left town!) and — le sigh — Alcide, may I present to you this Humpday, the male model-esque men of True Blood.

And last but certainly not least, Joe Manganiello, the sexiest werewolf this side of Transylvania, Alcide Herveaux.

I can’t wait to be reunited with the zany, kooky and in-bred folk of Bon Temps, Louisiana for another season of vampire hi-jinks, random mysticism and more gratuitous flesh than you can shake any kind of stick at.

On what he likes about playing Jason Stackhouse:

I think too much. Even in this answer. My brain is forever coming up with these options. Maybe I could do it this way or that way. But Jason, whether you call it lack of thought or willpower, he’s one of these guys, and we all know one, who totally acts in the spur of the moment. He has no real regard for the consequences of what may happen. It’s really liberating to play a character like that because I would stop at the edge of a cliff and think ‘Whoa’. He’d just jump off.
