For her first installment of PLEET TV, Brooklyn-based designer Samantha Pleet has teamed up with We Make It Good.  Tonight they’re screening a film showcasing Pleet’s Holiday 2009 collection at Parlor Showroom.

Designer Samantha Pleet is getting her own SHOW!!! We’been in hearts with her since we featured her collection in Fashion Indie Magazine, back in the day when we had a magazine.  If it wasn’t for the fact that we’re getting one too we’d be so jealous right now. It’s called Pleet TV and will be “part Muppet show meets TV party meets Wayne’s World.” Don’t know what all that means, but I’ll VHS record that mess. Thanks Pipeline for the awesome shots.

Samantha Pleet left Bodkin in the trusty hands of former Teen Vogue and Nylon writer Eviana Hartman, with whom she started the eco-friendly label.

Hartman held Bodkin’s first official runway show Monday and showed off “dyes derived from eggplants or spinach leaves, quilting from recycled bottles, and non-violent silk blessed by the Dalai Lama.” The result: slouchy, warm shapes, one-of-a-kind dye jobs, and sustainable simplicity.

Samantha Pleet’s S/S 2009 lookbook is out!  

The images have more of an adult vibe than past seasons, but Pleet’s trademark style still shines through.  (Rompers rompers rompers!)

Photographer and filmmaker Tom Hines also helped out on Pleet’s presentation film for the collection: Samantha Pleet and Her Season of Wonders.

Here’s a peek at Samantha Pleet’s capsule collection for Urban Outfitters, Rapscallion. It’s heavy on her signature cutesy rompers, cape coats, and tea dresses with a goth flair.

New York designer Samantha Pleet has been fascinating everyone since her Fall 2006 collection. Now, the Pratt alumni has just showed her Fall 2008 line at Fashion Week in an art studio yesterday. The line was similar to her previous collection, featuring mini rompers, curve hugging vests and tiny dresses. However the best pieces were those that came out of nowhere, floral print dresses and a white tunic paired with a cravatte. Pleet will also be showing a mens line that is sure to be just as good and a fresh perspective from this up and comer.
