American Apparel Shiny Shorts & Shiny Ruched Tube Bra, currently on sale for $25 on eBay…at least it was until I decided I needed it as part of my work wardrobe

In an effort to expand distribution beyond that of its quickly-failing stores, Charney is trying to capitalize on the some 30,000 monthly searches for AA on eBay by selling directly to the inquisitive customer.

Purchases will be made via eBay’s checkout system while AA will handle the shipping and delivery. In return, American will pay eBay a commission on all sales.

This venture is believed to be “part of a larger upcoming eBay platform for dedicated brand stores,” but eBay’s keeping mum on the subject…which means it probably is. American Apparel on the other hand wants you to know they’re not going anywhere.

With talks to open up to four leased spaces in Bloomingdale’s, leased spaces already opening up in three Selfridges across the pond as well as a pending deal to provide apparel to 2500 campus stores nationwide, you’ll have no problem finding your fill of  high-waisted jeans, sheer bodysuits and crotchless what-have-yous. Meanwhile, DVF is a logical choice for Kate. Not only an iconic designer and president of the CFDA, the DVF wrap dress is the prototype for those damn Issa and Reiss dresses Kate can’t seem to get enough of.

I can’t wait to see what else Kate wears — especially since she’s picking out her own wardrobe like the down-to-earth princess she is. The ad is classic Tom Ford, a heaping helping of sex with tongue still firmly in cheek, so it comes as no surprise that the designer cum director also photographed the campaign.

Scarlett Johansson debuts Dolce & Gabbana’s newest collection of cosmetics at Selfridges in London and we’ve got the exclusive video.

While the Scarlett effect has died down since the introduction of Megan Fox, I’m still amazed by how beautiful Scarlett is when she’s put together. Although, to be completely honest, whatever she’s wearing in this video doesn’t suit the event or Scarlett in general. We miss it the glam!

Alek Wek and Naomi Campbell’s design

Top models and designers (including Manolo Blahnik) are teaming up with Havaianas to create original designs which will be auctioned off between July 15 and 26 for charity, CLIC Sargent, a young cancer patient organization.  See them on display in Selfridge’s Oxford Street window and bid on their website.
