Just when Elle magazine was getting some cool points for their new art direction and the general awesomeness of Kate Lanphear, they have to ruin it by putting Jessica Simpson on the cover of the SEPTEMBER issue. IS nothing sacred?

To add insult to injury this issue looks like an outtake from her September 2004 cover. Which in my opinion is much better than the 2008 version of the glam-down-south-cowgirl-with-a-heart-of-gold.

Look they added 100+ pages of content ads from 2004 to 2008! Good job Elle!
