Martin Margiela Copies NIKE?

Mason Martin Magiela

Mason Martin Magiela

NIKE/Nancy Wu
Found these Mason Martin Margiela shoes on Highsnobette, and immediatly they reminded me of something we recently posted. These cutout shoes look quite similar to the NIKE /Nancy Wu gladiator sneakers. And, the MMM shoes are on preorder for $575, betcha the NIKEs are a fraction of that.
ShopIndie: The 2 Bandits Boot Bands

At $300+ a pop, I can’t imagine owning multiple pairs of Frye, or any other genuine leather, boots. I find myself making up for the fact that I wear the same boots, day in and day out, by wearing textured leggings or high socks pulled up over the tops of my boots. I get a bit bored with my same old boots, but thanks to The 2 Bandits, I can dress up my boots and make them like new for every outfit! The bandits come in a variety of patterned and solid fabric bands that have chic, brass adornments. Instead of buying different boots for the season, you can instantly change the entire look and feel of the boots. The 2 Bandits retail from $48-$78, a bit expensive….but hey, it’s better than coughing up a weeks worth of part time coffee shop pay for new boots!
Check out The 2 Bandits here!
Shop Indie: Y-3 On Sale
Love, love these Y-3 shoes. Very futuristic silhouette, yet seems comfortable and wearable. With a patent leather exterior, rounded front, and elastic bands from toes to ankle for comfort. On sale for $343 from $490.
Thanks Notcouture for finding these

5. Diesel Black Gold Flosse Dark Blue Dress
I don’t give Diesel as much air time as I could but upon seeing this dress I knew their new Black Gold collection would be right up my alley. It kind of reminds me of something Maria Cornejo or color block king Johnathan Saunders would dish out, but at $320 plus 30% off it’s about half the price of one of their pricier pieces. Yay, economy conscience fashions!!! Pick it up here.
6. CNC Patent Black Leather Boots
Some argue that patent leather is getting a bit overexposed, but I can’t get enough. These CNC shoes are powerful little statement makers that will get noticed for all the right reasons. You can get them for $466 plus a ery generous 30% off at SSENSE.com.
7. Paul & Joe Bianco Black Melange Trousers

They’re wideleg, pleated, and high waisted. The kind of pants that should only be attempted by the bravest of the brave. If you think you can pull these off, buy them. 10. Karl Lagerfeld Denise K T-Shirt
What do you want? I’m a sucker for Karl. It’s $250 plus 30% off at the SSENSE.com Black Friday sale.
10 Little Black Heels
Yesterday I posed my 10 favorite Little Black Dresses, essential for any woman around holiday time. But don’t think I left you hanging with just a dress! Here are my top favorite little black heels, the perfect compliment to your little black dress. Here are some heels to fit every price range and keep you look fabulous, no matter how long the holiday season may last:
Gadzooks Zimmermann!
You might know Australian label Zimmermann for their colorful dresses and bikinis. Well, now you can look forward to colorful pumps and lingerie too! The fabric pumps pictured above are dip-dyed in bright, vibrant colors to give off a psychedelic look. Tie-dye anyone?
Thanks Style File!
ShopIndie: Laura 2 and 3 x S***R
I was browsing through S***R London’s website and I stumbled upon these awesome heels! They aren’t available on the website yet, but I am loving the closed cobalt Laura 3’s with leather and hardwear detailing. I’m not much of a fan of bright, vibrant colors, but if the stappy open top shoes come in a black or a gray, I’m there! In the meantime, check out S***R London Shoes!
Shop Indie: Foot Fetish
These Mafia Black and White high heeled oxfords are costumes shoes, but I think they’d look pretty fierce with the right outfit on a Friday night. Available at Target for only $46.
Thanks FabSugar for pointing these out.
Shop Indie: Fave Things At Oak
Manish Arora
Eagle Leggings
Great by themselves with a top or as an add on under a cute dress, when too much black is just too much and you need some added pattern (which I love).
I love anything black pony, and I love wedges, so this is the perfect combo. Also cute with colored tights, the hue will peak through the cutout and look ultra cute.
Anzevino & Florence
Courtney Dress
Can’t say enough about this dress. I actually don’t like plaid, but this is adorable. A great way to feminize the oversized plaid button up shirt, and looks quite comfy and warm for the winter.
Martin Margiela Likes Money
First there was the $11 wallet, now the $22 shoes…what’s next? $44 bag! Do you all see the pattern?
Found on Ebay, these shoes were originally $645, now are a mere $102. But are they wearable? Some might think that these are quite ironic, but I must agree with AlwaysInStyle, “people would stoop down to pick up what they thought was a windfall.”
What do you guys think?
Thanks NY Mag for pointing this out
A Must For Fall: Leather Boots
This Fall one of the hottest trends is a solid high leather boot. They are easy to wear with just about anything, and they are a great way to kill that stupid rain boot trend that Marc Jacobs was so content on sparking. Now I will say that with this much leather involved, unless you strike vintage store gold, it’s going to be hard to find a pair for less than $200. However $200 is not bad when you think about it. You are making an investment here. If you buy a pair of fairly standard boots they should last you years, and they tend to be rather timeless. Here are a few of my favorites, from the cheaper to the more expensive.
Like I said, don’t get discouraged from looking for cheaper. Thrift stores and vintage shops are great places to find good boots, but for those of you who have a money tree in your backyard or just don’t have the time to look all over the city for a pair, check out what the Internet has to offer.
Thanks to Barney’s, Oak and Urban Outfitters for the images.
Superhero Chic Meets the Stiletto: Kathryn Amberleigh Shoes, $29
Two of my favorites together at last. Cheap shoes + Superheroes. You can’t deny that these look like the types of towering slip ons that a real wonder woman would wear. And best of all these Kathryn Amberleigh’s are only going to set you back $29 bucks.
Alice + Olivia + Payless = Happy
Ah, I finally got my Alice + Olivia for Payless Rivington Ankle Boots.
Black patent. Zipper. 4.5″ wedge hell. 1″ platform. Peep-toe. They’re so absurd that I’m in love them. It’s getting pretty serious. We’re already checking out china patterns and hosiery.
Watch out, Mary-Kate.
Insa Heels
London-based graffiti artist Insa and shoe designer Ruth Shaw have teamed up for Insa Heels, whose website officially launches today.
“The Cigarette,” is the first style so far, available in three designs (”The Levishan” colorway is above). The stilleto is leather with a high gloss finish. Insa appeals to a wide demographic by combining the sex appeal of a spike heel with modern streetwear graphics.
The shoes sell for about $400.
Mag Hag: Unvogue and the Olympian Dream
Unvogue.com, a Fashion Indie fave, just posted images from their August men’s issue. The nonglossy shows the rest of us future Wintour’s how a photo shoots done with some amazing shots of newbie model Wendell Lissimore.
If you’re like some folks at Fashion Indie and want to get in with your Olympic Spirit, be sure to do it in the most fashionable way possible by heading to Opening Ceremony this weekend. Their hosting a 48 hour event in celebration of, you guessed it, Opening Ceremony of the China games.
They be serving foodsies, drinks and selling an exclusive pair of Gold and Silver Nikes (what no bronze?) that will most likely be sold out at 12:01 when the event starts.

Dazed and Confused
Whenever I see, shorts and shorts and Converse I think of the movie Dazed and Confused. If you haven’t seen the film-it’s a bout teens in the 1970’s driving around Texas and getting hammered. Here are two retro pieces that are always in style.
