SCHULYR’S CLOSET PICKS: Black Poncho Dress

I think I may have officially given up on becoming a Photoshop expert, but this works for now! I invaded Shopbop today seeking out a new black dress, and this poncho dress by Kain Label caught my eye. It’s got a little white inset on the side, a pocket on the front, and is my favorite draped fit! I decided to pair it with some great bangles, a spiked pendant necklace, Jeffrey Campbell buckle boots (to DIE for!), and a studded bag by Novella Royale. I didn’t particularly like Onch from season 1 of ‘Paris Hilton’s My New BFF’ (well I guess he’s the cohost of season 2 now..), but I did like his (?) pretzel necklace. There’s a limited quantity left at Japan LA, and they come in a bunch of different colors. I think they’re super cute, and the crystal accent makes it not look too DIY. I love carbs!

This pendant is meant for men, but I think it could be worn by either men or women. NJAL says it’s from a Russian aristocratic collection, which I love the sound of. This is REAL horsehair, which kindof freaks me out, but I think it’s a cool idea, especially with the (gold-plated) horse head.
