To impress your Twihard, I recommend wearing jeans. They’re simple and safe. Not only are they comfortable, but everyone wears jeans. Even Bella. My favorite brand of jeans is J Brand. Their jeans are flattering and are pretty reasonably priced.

After finding that I don’t actually own a solid yellow piece; I feel the need to brighten my wardrobe with this fabulous spring and summer color. The idea was sparked by a movie that I watched last night, during which one of the main female characters carried a yellow duffle bag throughout and it looked good, even when she changed outfits.

I love the way that a dark blue rinse jean, or the color gray looks with a yellow top. While I will be searching for tops, I would also like to have a maxi, shoes and a great looking bag. While I like black shoes with a yellow dress, I would prefer something a bit more muted, such as some of those in this feature. Taupe, tan or even an metallic would work well. Black can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, since yellow is such a “soft” color. If the choice were black, I’d go for a strappy sandal that wouldn’t overpower.

Nicole Richie shows she’s the best representative of her own collection in the new lookbook for her House of Harlow 1960 accessories line.

In the Spring/Summer 2009 lookbook, a pre-pregnancy Nicole models her own vintage-inspired designs, which sell at Kitson and Shopbop, most for under $100.

I just spotted these shoes at Shopbop.com from Pour La Victoire. I can’t really tell if they are made to be rain boots if they just happen to look like a pair.

List this amongst little black dresses with attitude. I love this look. It’s a mix of dom female with punk attitude. Call it an alternative to picking up a head to toe A.Wang look.

STYLING TIP: Take this dress, mix it up with a pair of killer black Doc Martens, a gray flopping knit hat, and some huge gold bangles and hoop earrings and you’ve got yourself a street ruler look that would get you snapped by any Satorialist you could imagine. You could also glam it up, throwing in a pair of sky high red stilletos, a tuxedo jacket with matching piping, and some slicked back hair with a side part and your comparable to any high fashionista.

So this past week I was making my Fall shopping wishlist and I came across these Alexander Wang denim shorts. I know Alexander Wang is the designer of the moment and can do no wrong, but almost $300 for denim shorts?! REALLY!

Okay the whole designer, distressed look is a personal-fashion-pet-peeve of mine. Why spend a crazy amount of money on something you can get at a thrift store for $3? This is why I can’t really understand Alexander Wang as a designer. It looks like luxe Urban Outfitters clothing. Kurt Cobain must be rolling around in his grave.

All I have to say is I’m so over it!
