The Kaiser is designing a line of pens and lighters for S.T. Dupont. It should come as no surprise that this company is actually wildly cool for a company that makes pens and lighters. For instance, they make a fountain pen that has a USB drive at the other end. And France delegated this S.T. Dupont to give Prince William and Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge the official present of the French people.

Tsumori Chisato Beauty For Shu Uemura

Japanese designer TsumoriShu Uemura Chisato has teamed up with Shu Uemura to create a cosmetics line. Tsumori says she grabbed some inspiration for the makeup from her fall/winter line in the collaboration. The line is expected to release in stores around September. Get ready!

Shu Uemura’s fall line is said to be:

“Gold and volcanic tones mix with tribal paintings in yellow, fuschia and turquoise on a beige base.” Shu Uemura’s line consists of contrasting multi-colors generating from the “paintings and stones used in tribal rituals.”

Sounds good to me! I’d better freshen up on my makeup techniques…

Definitely my new addiction. Viktor & Rolf’s collaboration with the beauty experts at Shu Uemura has resulted in some of the most coveted lashes we’ve seen in sometime.

Applying False Eyelashes
1. Apply Lash Repair, $22 on lashes. When it dries, use Eyelash Curler, $18 and Mascara Basic, $27.50 for a natural look.
2. Using the Slant Tweezers, $32.00, pick the base of the lashes up gently along the edge.
3. Make sure that the lashes are flexible enough to fit the shape of the eyes. Using fingertips, bend the false eyelashes into a U shape.
4. Be sure to test the length and desired position of false lashes before gluing them on to make sure the width matches the width of your eye. Trim the outer edge with scissors if the lashes are too long.
5. Place a drop of Eyelash Adhesive, $8.50 on the back of your hand. Then dip a cotton swab into the adhesive base and transfer it carefully to the base of the lashes.
6. Apply the false lashes close to the eye base and lay them along the lash line starting from the center, then the inner corner, and to the outer corner.
