If you’ve ever hung your laundry out to dry or streaked your hair with lemon juice, you already know sunshine is a natural oxidizing agent. According to a story on Mashable, Mingce Long and Deyong Wu, scientists from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in China have leveraged this intel and devised a special cotton material that can clean itself when left under ordinary sunlight.

Blondes might have more fun, but gray hair is slowly taking over – and it’s not just for grandma anymore. Lady Gaga sported a gray mane on the cover of September’s Vanity Fair. Meanwhile, model Kristen McMenamy has come back into the industry with her full head of silver locks (as seen on the cover of the August Italian Vogue). Even Kate Moss showed off a few strands of gray when the trend reared its silver head 6 months ago. We thought the look was going to fade away, but it seems to have unlikely staying power. While being chauffeured to a Japanese restaurant named Zuma in London to meet hubby Jay-Z, R&B sensation Beyonce decided to detour to Harrods for a little shopping when she was surprisingly involved in a car accident. The singer’s car was struck by a black taxi cab, and according to an eye witness, the taxi appeared from nowhere. Although Bey was unharmed, the silver Mercedes S Class door was ripped off its hinges. As of right now, no further details have been revealed.
