Models have been appearing in music videos nearly as long as the form has been alive, lest we forget Calvin Klein brief-fillers  Djimon Hounsou and Antonio Sabato, Jr. in Janet Jackson‘s “Love Will Never Do (Without You),” also directed by Ritts. For “Girl Gone Wild,” Madge recruited FashionIndie faves Sean O’Pry, Simon Nessman, Jon Kortajarena and Rob Evans, stripped them down, had them fondle each other and — do my eyes deceive me or are those the well-heeled (and well-toned) boys of Ukrainian pop/dance troupe Kazaky bringing up Madonna’s ancient rear? With a nod to “Vogue,” “Express Yourself” and even a little “Like a Prayer,” “Girl Gone Wild” puts on one hell of a gay show and proves that Madonna imitates Madonna much better than Lady Gaga ever could.
