Skins vs Undressed: The Ultimate Blowdown

Only 2 hours till the premiere episode of Skins, and only 9 years since the last episode of Undressed. MTV has known all this time that we love shows about naked high school, college and early twenty-somethings that like to get it on. Back in my 12-year-old Undressed glory days, I used to sleep in my older sister’s bedroom when she wasn’t home so I could watch – one hand on the remote in case the parentals knocked.. “What are you watching?” “I Love Lucy, duh, Nick at Nite, my fave.” Sorry Mom. I digress. But how will Skins stack up to the legacy that is Undressed? Will it capture the hearts and minds of the youth as did Undressed with its frank commentary and explicit interactions?

Nicholas Hoult is an English actor who starred in About A Boy, E4’s cult teen series Skins and, most recently, in Tom Ford’s directorial debut, A Single Man and the upcoming Clash of the Titans, has been made the NSPCC’s first ambassador for children and young people, encouraging young people to get in touch with ChildLine by phone on 0800 1111 or online to talk about their problems. Nicholas has also been nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star Award, the award for an actor or actress set for great things.

“The Naughty Little Sister” of Tony on Skins does grunge chic, not straying far from her character Effy’s late night sneak out sessions full of drugs. But somehow Love Magazine’s styling made the average looking Miley Cyrus look phenomenal  and the naturally gorgeous Kaya Scodelario look average. Somethings wrong there.
