I’ve always loved rooting for an underdog and since her debut in 2004, Ciara‘s been steadily churning out booty-shaking hits while never quite attaining the level of success of say, a Rihanna, a Beyoncé or even an Ashanti. Even more absurd than Kim Kardashian’s flight to Minnesota this weekend for a 4-hour meeting with the family Pastor (maybe to work things out? Maybe to decide how much to pay Kris for the ring she wants to keep?) is Kristen Wiig‘s spot on iteration of Kris Jenner. SNL righteously spoofed the four, um, sisters? in a Kardashian Fairytale Divorce. Talks of facial emotions and anus bleaching seem more authentic than the marriage itself.

Kate Winslet, duck! There’s an Emmy flying directly at your head. Winslet gets one step closer to EGOT’ing with her nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Mini-Series or Movie for HBO‘s Mildred Pierce, which received the most nominations of any production with 21 nods.

ABC premiered the first promo for the Anne Hathaway- and James Franco-hosted Academy Awards and looks like the kids are going the slapstick route. God bless ‘em for tryin’.
