Look 1: See-Through Señorita

The Swishy Jumpsuit: Zimmerman, $360

Look One began with a washed silk jumpsuit. With a solid boned bodice, the heart shaped neckline hugs sturdily on the ribs. This allows the swishy washed silk to sway to the billowing harem whilst staying put on top. The pockets are deep and the ankles are stretchy; Australian duo Zimmerman has paid attention to the details.

The Recycled Net Top: Camilla Norrback, $188

This next piece came into play because of its netted quality that sees clear through to the jumpsuit. As playful as it is practical in the practice of layering, this shirt also happens to very conscious of the world around it. Swedish designer Camilla Norrback can claim eco-friendliness since 2002, and has made this top out of 100% recycled polyester.

The Orchid Statement: Marie-lise Lachapelle $375

Pinned to my hair is an orchid dipped in gold, the flower immortalized as jewelry, preserving its natural beauty. This piece originally sat as a necklace in the display, but with a thick, long curved bobby pin, it became a hairpiece rather simply. With an entrepreneurial sculptor father and high fashion model artist mother, Montreal native Marie-Lise Lachapelle captured the attention of her own celebrity clients with her stunningly delicate jewelry. She made the jump from styling to full time jewelry making in 2005.

The Mary Janes: Pedro Garcia, $180

Just about the only thing that could compliment the flower in my hair is Mary Jane. And this pair by Pedro Garcia elevates the look with a touch of demure formality. Hailing from the south of Spain, the brand breathes the Mediterranean Sea.

All in all, there was a total of 14 yellow cards given out, the most ever in World Cup history. It was the first time Spain has ever won the cup, and could have been the first for the Netherlands as well. Now we can sit and wait another four years for the excitement. Photos via ESPN.

Could this new cover be any steamier? V Spain‘s latest issue tackles the question of sexy in the first ever Sexy Body issue, and narrows down all the beautiful people in the world to just 50 prettier than thou individuals.

Granted, we’re a bit biased, and would say that all 50 should be models – but apparently so is V given their cover choice! New momAdriana Lima stuns in a Dior cardigan, and clearly,this is an issue that no one should miss. It hits newsstands on June 22, just in time for your holiday beach vacation, but you better hurry – cause this is one that will sell out.

For her recent performance in Spain on Sunday, Rihanna went all in on the candy-colored locks trend,working with stylist Ursula Stephen to dyeher hair a bright, cherry red and upped the ante even further by shaving all but a mop top. In reading the feedback on her new look on various sites, the consensus is very much a big thumb’s down. But oh well, by now it should be patently obvious that Rihanna is not going the people pleaser route…entirely the opposite in fact. She and three or four of her peers are very much invested in making avante garde fashion looks a part of theirperformance package, andwhat’s fascinating is watching how competetivesome are over who came first, etc. (Kelis vs. GaGa vs. M.I.A.)Clearly they and their stylists are borrowing and beinginspired by each other, which is not at all a bad thing and actually great for fashion and fun to watch unfold.

LINK LOVE:Rihanna Goes Cherry Red

Harper’s Bazaar is launching a Spanish edition, the debut issue of which hits newsstands in the Iberian country today.  Estonian model Carmen Kass is on the cover of the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar Spain, which clocks in at 300 pages (including 101 ads from the likes of Burberry, Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Gucci and Ralph Lauren) and has an initial print run of 100,000.

Becks and Daniel Saynt headed to Valencia Fashion Week and all you get is an awesome week of exclusive coverage.

When the IVEX (Instituto Valenciano de la Exportacion) invited us to be their special guest for Valencia Fashion Week, we packed our bags and got ourselves ready for yet another amazing experience in Fashion Indie history.

While the shows don’t start until Tuesday, we’re going to be getting exclusive behind the scenes interviews and showroom tours of some of the greatest designers Valencia has to offer.

I’m currently laying in our beautiful room at the Hotel Dimar, watching El Simpsons trying to figure out if sleeping will better or totally make my jet lag worse.

Have already fallen in HEARTS with Zara. The one here kicks the NYCs versions culito (spanish for booty folks) and Becks picked up an awesome Grace Jones t-shirt. We grabbed a Jane Birken for Zara collection (yeah, I know AWESOME) t-shirt for Kirby and then made our way to Mango. Did you know Leigh Lezark is in their magazine? Will have to send you some scans, but totally weird.  Also, in Spain they produce mini sized versions of all the major fashion magazines. The magazines are half the price of their standard glossy sisters and totally pocketbook friendly. Hint, hint American mags, get on that.

Anyways, Valencia is GORGEOUS. It’s really close to the beach so the area has a Mediterranean/tropical feel that reminds me of what I imagine Monaco would look like. I love it.

I’m assuming this is what Darth Vader’s fashion line would look like if he ever decided to give up intergalactic domination and focussed more of his craft. A mix of the Matrix in the spring time and Death Star chic, this line from Spain Fashion Week by Boris Bidjan Saberi is definitely one to check out if you’re looking for a dark, brooding, knitwear collection. And honestly, who isn’t.

Face Paint, Lego Inspired baggage, and one of the coolest fashion websites around make Roberto Piqueras a must know designer amongst the up & coming set. The Barcelonian designer let it all hang out for his Summer/Spring collection which has become a favorite of little known rappers like Kanye West who recently rocked one of his jackets in a spread for Flaun+ magazine. The 22 year old designer is paving a way for his bright, never flame out designs which will undoubtingly generate him much praise as he comes over to America. We have more picts and video from his career making first show.
