Celebrating its 10^th birthday this year, the festivities at Art Basel Miami almost outshined the actual artwork.  With 18 other local art fairs simultaneously going on around town, over 260 galleries showing the works of over 2000 artists and 50,000 creative enthusiasts from around the world, South Beach and downtown Miami’s Design District were the country’s  creative mecca this first week of December.  Our week was jam packed, with back to back versions of “the most fun party ever”, sandwiched between “the best art exhibit ever” Here’s a rundown of our favorite events:

MALE MODEL HUMPDAY: Vintage Versace, Va-Va-Va-Voom!! [NSFW]

In celebration of the Versace x H&M collection’s unveiling this week, Male Model Humpday brings you classic Versace ads from the 80s and 90s. Greats Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts and Bruce Weber captured a gaggle of supers including Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer, and Stephanie Seymour accompanied by a herd of naked male models, including world’s first super-male-model, Marcus Schenkenberg. Enjoy this Humpday with a trip through Versace’s proud and storied legacy of gratuitous male nudity.

From the Runway to the Chapel: 10 Wedding Gowns for Kate Moss

With the wedding of a British Kate comes FashionIndie‘s inevitable wedding gown predictions. Though lacking the hysteric speculation surrounding Kate Middleton and her inevitable Alexander McQueen gown, Kate Moss‘ wedding this weekend to Jamie Hince will be a major fashion moment. Not only the supermodel’s first stroll down the aisle, but if rumor truly does have it Moss will wear a dress by longtime friend, John Galliano. If she does, it will no doubt be beyond epic and possibly the beginning of the embroiled designer’s comeback. But while we’re eagerly awaiting Kate’s wedding day, here are some possible choices she might employ for Mosstock.

The 90s began with the biggest names in the business and then they were all but wiped out when 15 year old Kate Moss slouched onto the scene. Like Twiggy, Jean Shrimpton and Penelope Tree (who bears a striking resemblance to Kate) before her, Kate ushered in a new body image for women to aspire to. That image was the definitive shape for the past two decades and only now are we seeing curves reappear on the runway and in advertising. We’re parking this model mobile in the here and now!

Vogue Italia‘s Editor-in-Chief, Franca Sozzani took to her blog today to vent her frustrations, some of them indirectly lobbed at Carine Roitfeld. Among her grievances: “trashy” nudity, sexualizing children, nudifying old people and pretending “what’s ugly is avant-garde.”  She went on to say, “You know, I’m kind of over fashion.”
