- Olympic figure skater and all-around sassbag, Johnny Weir is designing a line of little black dresses exclusively through eDressMe.com. Ranging in price from $198 to $298, the LBDs will be modeled during the second annual “Ice Dreams” skating show — where young skaters get a chance to skate with their heroes — and will be available for purchase April 30. Naturally, Weir’s dresses are replete with ostrich feathers, sequins and taffeta, much like Johnny Weir himself. [WWD]

- Elle‘s creative director, Joe Zee, needed some extra security after one of the dismissed contestants from his new Sundance Channel reality show, All on the Line, sent him and show producers hundreds of “troubling” emails threatening to kill himself. The drama queen, one Ms. David Victor Rose, admits to “completely freaking out” (you think?) but claims that Zee dismissed him based on false assumptions and limited information….yeah, in hindsight, maybe Zee was on to something. - Unlikable multi-hyphenate Gwyneth Paltrow was seen walking out of Coach HQ with creative director Reed Krakoff, sparking rumors that she may be the new face of either Coach or Krakoff’s eponymous label. [Refinery29]

Lagerfeld Confidential on Sundance Channel Tonight

Leading up to Fashion Week, the Sundance Channel is showing fashion-related films every night Feb. 9-15.

Tonight at 7pm you can catch Lagerfeld Confidential, the first authorized — and really in-depth — documentary of Uncle Karl, from 2006.

Recently speaking of collaborations, here is one that I wait for in immense anticipation. No, we’re not talking Jill Sander for Forever 21 or anything like that, we’re talking about the collaboration of fashion designer Stella McCartney and pop artist Ed Ruscha (well known for the 20th Century Fox logo). Grab your calendars, because October 23rd at 10PM marks the date and time that Iconoclasts airs their documentary “Stella McCartney + Ed Ruscha” on the Sundance Channel.

Lucky for me, I was able to take a look at the documentary before the premier, and let me tell you, it is was completely worth watching! Unlike many documentaries, the subjects Stella and Ed actually tell their own creation stories, explain their relationship and pitch ideas to one another for an upcoming collaboration line. I really appreciated the behind the scenes footage of Stella at fittings and Ed explaining inspiration for paintings. And by the looks and sounds of the the McCartney/Ruscha collaboration line, I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for it!

My only criticism is that the documentary ended with Ruscha accept McCartney’s pitches for the collaboration. What! We don’t get a sneak peek of the line? Just throw the dog a bone already would you!
