When’s the Super Bowl? Did it happen already? I dunno and I really don’t care except that I have an excuse to drink excessive amounts of (light) beer and hot wings which I’ll inevitably throw up later. But thanks to WWD‘s Mensweek, I can relate to the game in my own special way. They’ve ranked quarterbacks based on such considerations as Personal Style and Overall Hunk Factor. Unsurprisingly, Mr. Gisele came in first, despite that awful mop-top, because that Brazilian cracks that whip.

Glee will have a pricey mash-up performance of “Thriller” during their post-Super Bowl episode. The other song has not yet been chosen, but  I’d like to put in an early vote for “Whip My Hair,” if only to see Kurt in a sequined Balmain zipper jacket and a Willow Smith-inspired heart braid.

A Real Runway Blitz

If you thought tackling was only for the football field, you’re dead wrong! We reported yesterday that 80s Chanel inspiration Inès de la Fressange was to walk the runways again, showing two looks for designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Not only did the ex-model look stunning and receive applause from a supportive audience, she also had a near Super Bowl experience as Gaultier chased her down the runway and playfully tackled her! The comic relief was much appreciated, making light of the dramatic fashion and angsty model faces! Let’s just hope she didn’t break a hip…
