As of this week, the American retailer Urban Outfitters (or, as my friend would say, “Hipster Wal-Mart”) has introduced a slew of new labels from around the globe. Labels include, but are not limited to, Madras by A.P.C (from France), Levi’s 501 Boyfriend (from the US), Stolen Girlfriends Club (from New Zealand) and House of Dagmar (from Sweden). Here’s a sneak peak at some of the new collections, sorted by their country of origin. Let your inner consumer (and your wallet) be forewarned that these collections are significantly more expensive than the collections currently carried by UO! (I’m not sure if I should be annoyed or worried…)

I have also added a poll to the right sidebar of the blog. Please do me the favour of voting for which categories of posts that you would like to see more of on Marvelous Things! Be as honest as possible! As the votes continue to come in, I will try and accommodate your desired posts on the blog urban outfitters caters to the wandering fashionista.

These Elle Sweden (Sept. 2010) covers are out of this world. I ADORE reading fashion magazines and there’s nothing like having an issue waiting for me in my mailbox every month!! Great magazine covers like these are just immense inspirations. ‘Tis the season of September issues (the creme de la creme of magazines), so I cobbled together my favorite past issues from various magazines. Some are iconic, but all are simply timeless. Enjoy!

Stockholm I´m back just in time for Fashion Week

Edited by

SOURCE:Stockholm I´m back just in time for Fashion Week

Three years ago I went to Stockholm for the first time. I didn´t stay long, just one day, since I was flying back to Mexico the day after. Still, I was happy to be there and it felt as it was the perfect closure of my time in Sweden. But I promised myself I would someday be back. And here I am, back in Sweden and heading to Stockholm on Monday. I never thought it would be that soon, and I never thought one of the main purposes of returning would be fashion. Yeah, fashion… I´m going to Stockholm Fashion Week and I´m peeing my pants out of excitement .

This year has been full of surprises and changing plans but finally I think I have learned how to just go with the flow, because sometimes life takes the most surprising turns — and I´m starting to really enjoy being surprised.

Wish me luck and I will do my best to bring you tons of cool pictures.

Shanghai Style Hunter — Grazia Magazine

Edited by

Right now I´m in Sweden enjoying the good weather and the delicious food. Even if I´m having a great time during the nights laying on my bed I think about Shanghai. I´m not ready to write a goodbye post about it. In the mean time I want to share with you the publication of my pictures. This time all four are mine and they appeared in the July edition of Grazia Magazine. It feels good to look at them, especially because they mark an important step on my life, not that I´m thinking of starting a full time career as a photographer, but it means that I actually accomplished my dream, the one I was thinking about during the last 2 years sitting at my old job desk, the one of living in China. Thanks to all of you for sharing this dream with me, thanks for the encouragement, thanks for being there for me.

Shanghai Style Hunter — Grazia Magazine
