I’m Over It: Fake and Bake

There is nothing better than having a natural, glowing summer tan stick around for the start of fall. It’s a lovely reminder of trips to the beach, outdoor music festivals and, my favorite, rooftop barbeques. I cherish the last few weeks of my healthy looking skin tone before the hibernation process is underway. But for some, good looks means having a tan year round, no matter what the weather may be. I’ve already observed a handful of fake-and-bakers in the neighborhood. But I know in two month’s time, I am going to feel like Willy Wonka surrounded by Oompa Loompas. The smell of shish kebab will fill the air as alien-like creatures enter the room with their orangey radioactive skin and glossy white makeup. Scary? Yes. Intimidating? No. I would rather feel like Dracula than something starring in a Will Smith movie.
