Coachella Fashion Bashes: Belvedere, Lacoste & Armani Exchange Rocked Our Socks

Coachella Music Festival can be summed up in two words: sensory overload. Music and fashion lovers gathered in numbers around 250,000 in the piping hot desert of Palm Springs for a three day, six stage, 200+ band concert series. In addition to every trendsetter and eccentric in the country, the performances drew in the best of the fashion industry and young Hollywood. FashionIndie & Lookbooks was there to witness it all, and we certainly have a lot to report on. Here’s our recap of the best fashion events of the weekend.

Armani Exchange Neon Carnival: Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine took over a private airport on the outskirts of the festival and built a fully-functioning, Armani Exchange-branded carnival. In addition to the ferris wheel, giant slide and carnival games, they managed to build an outdoor club in the middle of the venue, complete with celebrities and bottle service. DJs Devin Lucien, Jesse Marco, and DJ Politik kept the energy high while young Hollywood danced the night away. Josh Hartnett, Paris and Nicki Hilton, Camilla Belle, Kellen Lutz, Penn Badgley, Tara Reid, Jamie Chung and Elijah Wood were just a few of our celeb spottings.

Belvedere Music Lounge: The Belve Music Lounge provided a peaceful oasis from the hot desert sun. Located at a private estate in Bermuda Dunes, the lounge had a refreshing pool, mini sand pit, cold cocktails, a fun photo booth and models in bikinis demonstrating the Belvedere shaker app on iPads. DJ sets were as sought-after as the festival lineup: The Knux, Taryn Manning, Dirty Vegas, Yacht, Punches, Blaqstarr, DJ Berrie, Junior Sanchez, Theophilus London and more spun for our pleasure. Our celeb spottings included Rosario Dawson, Brittany Snow, Laidback Luke and Miguel.

Lacoste: Lacoste L!ve, the younger, more fashionable crocodile, hosted a Pool Party that supported the efforts of The Voice Project foundation. Patron popsicles cooled us off while DJ Cassidy kept us dancing. Celeb spottings included Katy Perry, Alexander Skarsgard, Malin Akerman, Kirsten Dunst, Diane Kruger, Joshua Jackson, Adrian Grenier, Ke$ha, Lea Michele, Kelly and Jack Osbourne and Jared Eng.

Bizarro Celebrities from the Midwest of Doom!

You ever wonder what celebrities would look like if they were normal people? Yeah, me neither, but luckily someone did and here are the benefits of their hard work. Ladies and ladies, say hello to Celebrities from the Midwest!

Now this isn’t so much what Britney would look like if she was from the Midwest so much as what Britney will look like in five years. Hair looks good, girl!

How fitting, Sarah Jessica Parker next to a horse. I love the bridle she’s wearing though. Chanel?

After a long day at the secretarial pool, Jennifer Aniston (who actually would be married in Bizarro Midwestern Land) drops by the DQ for a qucik dinner of ice cream and salty tears.

David Beckham‘s dreams of soccer stardom just didn’t pan out after knocking up Victoria in high school. He settled down, working for Vick’s pop’s insurance company and has several mistresses, like this lamb:

Town skank, Tara Reid. Victoria’s seen her in the parking lot of the A&P and has more than once tried to run her down in her Chevy minivan.

Nicole Kidman is currently serving twenty years in jail for murdering her husband whom she claimed was a “latent homosexual.”

No, not this one. John Travolta is still alive and kicking after his third triple bypass and second double chin-ectomy.

Ah, yes, poor Tom Cruise. He came to a grizzly end when Kidman used a hot waffle iron to make grilled cheese with his face. Then ate it.

On a happier note, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are doing just fine. They have twelve kids, and Anthony is 85% sure that at least half of them are his.

After years of living the single life, Ashlee Simpson finally managed to settle down.

She found an unlikely soul mate in Cameron Diaz, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Cam may not be the sharpest stiletto on the shoe tree, but Ashlee says she more than makes up for it in the boudoir.

Wild stallion and all-round bad ass, Johnny Depp, can usually be found riding his hog, shooting beer cans or gearing up for a good ole-fashioned lynchin’ with the boys.

As you can see, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are still quite the fashion plates. They even made these dresses! Not that you could tell. Ashley made hers from six discarded king size bed sheets. And MK wrapped a towel around her then tied it with electrical tape. Brilliant.

Paris Hilton, unfortunately lost her mind back in the fifth grade when she started showing up to class without any panties, speaking in a strange baby’s voice and claiming to have invented the phrase “That’s hot.” She’s in a mental hospital where she’s especially popular with some of the…more masculine girls.

Pam Anderson has done well for herself. A successful office manager at a funeral home, she gets all the embalming fluid she likes, which she then uses for throwing homestyle Botox parties.

Eyes were raised in town when Michael Douglas showed up with this young chippy on his arm, Catherine Zeta-Jones. But it turns out they’re just father and daughter who have an incestuous relationship. And that’s old hat. For a second, people thought she might have been Mexican or a Jew. Imagine?

A former Ms. Pine-Sol, Gwen Stefani still has her looks, even if she’s keeping them in her hair and cleavage. But she learned that “a woman’s beauty is the only thing she has or ever will have and once that’s gone, she might as well down a bottle of Ajax and wait for Jesus to come and take her back to Heaven in his divine pick-up truck.” Words of wisdom from her mama:

Tara Reid Still Working On That Comeback

At one point earlier this year there were grumblings of Tara Reid looking better and getting ready for a comeback, no doubt started by Reid herself but seemingly supported by pictures of the actress looking not terrible. While we will graciously refrain from trying to figure out what exactly she would be coming back to – her peak was “American Pie,” after all – we will simply assume that the little goal was put on the backburner for a while.

After looking at these pictures, we just want to take a shower, drink a lot of water and maybe go for a run. Nothing is a better wakeup call than seeing what years of booze, botched plastic surgeries and a little self-loathing can do to your body.

Almost worse than her hair extensions, is this collection of I don’t even know what to call it, cuz al I see is bikini tops and tee shirts with beads (I know she’s trying to rock this as a dress but her ass is showing). And what are those beads hanging off her back? They look like friendship bracelets from way back when friends meant something. She should stick to what she does best, plastic surgery.

Tara Reid Designs Clothes With A Purpose

Tara’s Mantra line of fashions features designs decorated with trinkets, charms, and beads in eight vibrant colors meant to inspire emotions.

“It’s about putting into the universe what you want in life: Red means love, pink is friendship, green is lucky, black is protection,” says Tara, who describes herself as a charm bracelet aficionado. “You’re gonna have a story when you wear this bikini or when you put this dress on: You’ll either get love or meet a new friend or you might meet a guy.”

Tara hopes Mantra, with items priced between $65-$180, will be picked up by a major department store and available for purchase by early next year.

“I feel like I’m in a really great place in my life, and I love what I’m doing. I love acting but I can’t hire myself. If this works, then we’re in business. If not, I tried.”

Can’t believe that a celeb that barely wears clothes, is attempting to design clothes…
