FIRST LOOK: Jean Paul Gaultier for TargetWe just posted the Zac Posen for Target collection, which comes out a month after Jean-Paul Gaultier’s (March 7th), and I can tell you that I’m def saving my cash for Zac. Besides the trench, which is $60, the rest of the collection I can do without, with no real elements of JPG visible (besides stripes), I’d rather go to H&M. Rest of the looks on Refinery.

COLLABORATION: Tucker for Targer

COLLABORATION: Tucker for Targer

Target is on a roll, giving us a multitude of collections to anticipate! Target will roll out Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Designer Collaboration on March 7 and Zac Posen’s Go International soon after on April 25, and Tucker’s collection should hit stores mid-summer. The collection will have bathing  suits, bottom, and most importantly, blouses.

Rodarte For Target Promo Video By Tavi

Rodarte For Target Promo Video By Tavi

Most people go through that awkward phase of braces and teenage angst in their middle school years – but not Style Rookie blogger Tavi Gevinson.  When not in school, this 13-year-old darling of the fashion world parties with the likes of Marc Jacobs, Margherita Missoni, and Alexander Wang. We only wish we were that cool at 13.  Tavi recently collaborated with the Mulleavys girls of Rodarte and Target to film this short video for their upcoming Target collection. How much longer until this line comes out again?

LOOKBOOK: Rodarte for Target

LOOKBOOK: Rodarte for Target Disregard the tranny model and let’s focus on what’s really important…the Rodarte for Target collection hits stores VERY soon! From December 20-January 31, Target stores will carry these extremely reasonable and rather cute pieces across the nation. I’m not terribly keen on the styling in the lookbook images, but separately, there are many great pieces to be had!

Hello Indies! I’m ecstatic to be the newest member of the Fashion Indie family. I’ll be updating periodically with outfit posts and well as daily fashion updates.

Here’s a shot of what style editor Hillary and I wore to a recent charity “fashion” show:

hillary and jessica at charity show

Hillary’s DIY ripped tights are ingenious!

On Hillary:  Brian Lichtenberg moto vest tee cut into a tanktop, American Apparel Lame bandeau, vintage chains and purse, DIY shredded tights, Forever 21 bangles, and DIY beaded bracelets

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target

Jean Paul Gaultier for TargetIn March 2010, Jean Paul Gaultier will follow in the footsteps of Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui to design an affordable collection for Target.  Gaultier’s inspiration behind the line, which will be available March 7th until April 11th, is “The American Woman.” Knowing the avant-garde nature of Gaultier’s designs, the collection will be more eccentric and conceptual than traditional American sportswear.

Unlike the other Target/ designer collaborations of times past, Gaultier’s collection with be much more limited in supply, only being sold in 250 stores across the country instead of the 600 that featured Sui’s line. Mark your calendars now!

Zac Posen for Target … Australia?!?

Zac Posen for Target ... Australia?!?

While some think Zac Posen’s collection for Target is a first, most forget about the collection he released a year ago exclusively for Target of Australia. Yup, we’re aware like that. Shots of the original collection after the jump. (more…)
