Top 15 Pieces You Need for a White Hot Summer

Edited by

Memorial Day is quickly approaching, which means it’s time to break out the white pants and shoes, right? At FashionIndie, we don’t care about those idiotic rules and wear whatever we want all the time. But the coming of summer does mean a lighter closet as we stow away greys and browns to make room for whites and brights. If last season’s pieces are looking a little over-worn, check out the guide below and snag our top 15 favorites for a white hot summer.

Tarina Tarantino Collaborates with Sephora

The designer with her jewels.

Sparkle queen Tarina Tarantino, of the winsome Hello Kitty baubles and glitter-infused skull jewelry beloved by Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton  Katy Perry and others, will collaborate with Sephora this winter for a makeup line.

Tarantino worked as a makeup artist before becoming a jewelry designer, so the makeup will not just look pretty sitting on your dresser – it’ll also be highly functional and fit for top makeup artists.

Tarina Tarantino Creates Barbie

Tarina Tarantino Creates Barbie

As if it wasn’t enough for Ms. Tarantino to collaborate with Kidrobot, which was mentioned in the post earlier, now she feels it’s necessary to create her very own Barbie doll. Enough is enough! The designer has decided to collaborate with Mattel in order to begin work on her creation. Although I don’t support Tarina’s remake of the barbie doll, I will say the jewelery she has recently created with Kidrobot is more suitable for the Barbie doll than actual people.

Thanks to fashionista for the pic!

Tarina Tarantino Designs Jewelery for Kidrobot

Tarina Tarantino has decided to collaborate with Kidrobot in order to create a jewelery line. The collaboration is also complete with wallet chains and charms in addition to the extensive line of necklaces, bracelets and earings. Not sure if this was the best idea; the results are awfully disappointing. We hear that the collection will be shown in Tarina Tarantino shops and Kidrobot stores in SoHo. Prices range from $65 to $975. Now let’s rethink that. $975 for what exactly? It looks like cheap plastic. Who would want miniature cupcakes hanging from their ears as they walk down the street? The jewelery is completely ridiculous and the odd nature of the wallet chains far surpass the outlandish style of the jewelery collection. I think it’s safe to say we wish these two never collaborated; ever

Special thanks to NYMag for the pics!
