I’m about to embark on my first tattoo, my friends. It hasn’t taken me this long (I’m 22 years old) to get inked because I was having doubts. I just couldn’t decide what to get, and when, and how…what can I say, I’m fickle and always have second thoughts. I’ve always loved Andy Warhol, the 1960′s and pop art culture, and especially superstar Edie Sedgwick. So her likeness on my back is a natural choice for me. Today I took  a peek at celeb tats to share with you all.

Of all of the ideas for potential tattoos I’ve had and drawings I’ve done, I have yet to get inked. I’m on the fickle side, and prefer to admire the tattoos of my friends, family and perfect strangers. That’s why  I was so intrigued to see temporary tats all over the Spring 2010 runways. Thank God, because I’ve been looking for an excuse to adorn myself with those stick-on tattoos from 25 cent machines for a while now…

At  Rodarte, models sported exaggerated tribal tattoos, while at  Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris,  models were sent down the runways with painted on jewelry, like edgy crosses and chains.

If those ubiquitous  quarter-machine tats remind you too much of childhood or just seem a little too commonplace, snag a limited-edition pack of Chanel’s temporary designs. Les Trompe L’Oeil de Chanel Temporary Skin Art, which includes 55 designs, were crafted by Chanel creative director Peter Philips for the spring runway show. They will be sold at Chanel.com starting mid-February for $75.
