Taylor Swift at CMT Music Awards

My niece went to see Taylor Swift (and also Justin Bieber, Kellie Pickler and some other people I forget at the moment) and she said Taylor Swift put on an amazing show. She tells a story about a breakup as she performs her songs, and apparently swings her hair around A LOT. Of course, the first thing I asked was if she wore her hair curly or straight. It was curly, natch.

But at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday night, Taylor changed it up and hit the red carpet with her hair super sleek and straight, parted to one side. She also wore a makeup look she tends to favor: dramatic cat-eye liner. Taylor’s dress was by Galliano with Lorraine Schwartz hoop earrings and Christian Louboutin for 3.1 Phillip Lim sandals. I am not in love with the color or style of the dress, but it’s cute and age appropriate, so I also don’t totally hate it. But I really love her hair and makeup. Overall, I think she looks amazing.

That’s right, Taylor has just been announced to be the next face of Cover Girl. She’ll be the face of a new line of products and star in both print and commercials, but don’t hold your breathe because you won’t be able to see any of these until July of 2011. I can here it now, the clamor of million of teen and tween girls running and buying Cover Girl.

I really don’t give Taylor Swift enough attention. It seems that unless she’s on the brink of tears, I don’t care. Well, let’s change that a bit and celebrate the amazing dress choice she made at a Las Vegas concert for Brooks and Dunn.

Carmen Electra and Taylor Swift both wore this floral Rebecca Taylor dress very recently—but who wore it best?

I personally favor the look on Taylor. It just seems to suit her better, style-wise, and I also like how her headband matches the piping in the dress. Carmen’s boots should never be seen in public, especially with this outfit.
