Hold Onto Those Waves

There’s always those mornings when you look in the mirror and think “OK this could work.” Your curls aren’t bouncing around in every which way and direction, but you have wave in those locks, you like it. Come two hours later, or three if your really lucky, your hair is lying flat on your head, thin, stuck, and boring. So what do you do?
Stylist Liam Carey from Ted Gibson’s hair salon was prepared for this common dilemma. And though the tricks may be a bit obvious, they work! First, coat those locks with a bit of hairspray to give the curls more grip. Next comes the actual curling of the hair, which Liam says holds much better curls if your using a small barrel. “Anticipate the way the curl will relax,” he says, it’s not just how they look right then.
