LOOKBOOK: Telfar S/S 2010

I loved the Telfar show this Fashion Week, and now that I’m seeing the looks photographed professionally, and not on the runway, I like them that much more. The collection uses no clasps, no zippers and no buttons, it’s 100% recyclable, and 100% organic. So cool!

Telfar: Fall 2009 Collection

After seeing Telfar’s Spring 2009 Collection, I am not suprised by his unique looks, but this is not what I had in mind. This collection seems to be a step up from a lot of the past work that I have seen from Telfar, and I love it. The cuts are much more thought out, and really make a statement about how Telfar wants to be preceived as a designer. The looks are less flashy like we have seen in the past and seem to be focused on the high end tailoring and composition. I love the looks, and I look forward to seeing them around the city in Fall.

Runway Rundown: Telfar Spring/Summer 2009
By far one of the most unique concepts I have seen this Fashion Week, Telfar took the term Spring/Summer to a whole new level. Taking place in a small school gymnasium, Telfar had their models in very sporty outfits, with makeup that made them look as if they were sweating. One model completely eliminated the idea of walking a runway, and cruised it on a cool little bike. The line wasn’t to be out done by its presentation however. Tennis ball heels and mesh covered visors were some of the most creative pieces that caught my eye. Be sure to check out the whole line in the gallery.
