Beth Ditto for MAC Cosmetics

The Gossip girl is the newest face for MAC Cosmetics. And half that face is painted on her hand. The makeup giant has tapped Beth Ditto to create a limited edition range of products set to hit stores in June.

Ditto’s currently in Paris for couture week where she confessed that Jean Paul Gaultier‘s Amy Winehouse-inspired collection almost made her cry and gave her chills — in a good way. While in the City of Lights, the singer will attend a fancy shmancy dinner to celebrate the cosmetic collaboration as the special guest of Estée Lauder group president and MAC AIDS Fund chairman John Demsey and MAC global president Karen Buglisi. Bottega Veneta Taking a Page Out of FashionIndie’s Playbook

FashionIndie may not have invented the mixtape — *cough* download it on the right *cough* — but for the sake of this article, I’m claiming that we did. And now Bottega Veneta is stealing our very original idea by putting out their own mixtape featuring music from their various runway shows and stores, selected by creative director Thomas Maier. We’re so suing your $500 designer pants off, Maier.

Entitled Intreccio Uno, the compilation was mixed by Maier’s friend. Parisian DJ, Michel Gaubert and comes in the form of a jewel-encrusted double-disc album, available online and in Bottega Veneta stores come November.

Okay, they may have trumped us with the jewel-encrusted part, but what would you rather listen to? FashionIndie Mixtape Vol. 4 with such baller mixes as the Gossip‘s Beth Ditto covering the Aaliyah classic “Are You That Somebody?” or a smattering of French pianists and Norwegian superproducers? No offense to the French or Norwegians — at least no more than usual — but Timbaland always wins.

Plus, Michel Gaubert is no DJ Chachi. And that’s just in terms of hotness alone. #justsayin’ [Telegraph]

Gossip singer and big girl doing it for herself, Beth Ditto is in the enviable position of being surrounded by gorgeous male models on the cover of French mag Têtu. I love the pose, I love the hair, I love the pecs and I love all of the random accents thrown around this cover.

If she weren’t a lez, I’d swear Beth was about to devour all three of these models. And is it just me, or does the guy in the back look completely lost? Thus is the magic of Ditto.

There are very few celebrity lines I would choose to endorse, but the new plus sized line by Beth Ditto for Evans is uber exciting. The Gossip front woman has always been ready to push style boundaries and women everywhere are in need of a big girl hero, so file this under shit I can’t wait to see.

The size range will fall in the 14-32 area. Beth will also be the face of the line and has secured a nice $400,000 pay day for her efforts.
