Gucci has multiple grounds for celebration. The iconic Italian house is celebrating its 90th birthday this year and just entered into a three year partnership with The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Museum. Last night, in the treehouse-like loft of Cipriani Downtown, Gucci presented its latest jewelry and timepiece collections, including the exclusive pieces designed especially for the GRAMMYs. While the best Bellinis in town were passed around the room, I got a chance to learn about all of the chic accessory collections on display and the stories behind them.

Origins rocked Earth Month last night as Grammy winners Train headlined a lineup of whopping new talent: singer/songwriter Nikki Jean and English band Treetop Flyers. And they were all talking about the environment.Origins is greening the world with all natural, completely vegan beauty products. They’re planting trees, recycling tons and leading the industry by example. And they’re rocking out while they do it.

Givenchy Haute Couture Made Wacky Appearances at the Grammys

Swans, leopards, all of the animals were let loose at this year’s Grammys. Florence Welch and Nicki Minaj wore Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci Spring-Summer 2011 to the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, and they looked a little more than goofy. The proportions, the cut-outs, nothing is working for me as I observe their red carpet photos. But decide for yourself – what do you think of these over-the-top Givenchy outfits?

Well, Katy Perry‘s nominated for album of the year. I realized there was no god last year when Taylor Swift won that alleged honor. Now I’m convinced that not only is there no god, but that the Grammys are actually the devil. If you care, there’s a list of nominees after the jump.

Giorgio Armani Red Carpet Retrospective

Last night, Randi and I attended the Giorgio Armani exhibition of exclusive dresses worn by celebrity actresses and musical artists at red carpet events. Every dress matched perfectly to the women who were wearing it: Lady Gaga with the futuristic gown for the Grammy, Anne Hathaway with the amazing blue gown for the 2009 Golden Globes Awards and the Black gown worn by Penelope Cruz at the 2010 Golden Globes Awards.

The exhibition will be there for three weeks at the Armani store on the 5th avenue.

ON THE LIST: The Grammy’s Style Studio

This week was The Grammys Style Studio in West Hollywood. I attended the Event with Jeremy Fall (editor-in-chief of Cliche Magazine) and got to see what the nominees were wearing to the grammys before they wore it. The evening was filled with top designers and 300$ champagne and clothes that i wanted to steal before they could be bought. I was eyeballing these belts from designer Melamed and was hoping she would just give them to me but failed. (two pictures above)

MIA’s new born son is already making his way into the fashion headlines thanks to his baby Henry Holland outfit, which is modeled after the one his mother wore to the Grammys! I hope I can do the same for my kid some day!
