The pen has always been lauded as being mightier than the sword. Sure, the thrust of a sabre can end one’s life, but the turn of a phrase can end one’s career. Tom Ford is in no danger of either, but his spring 2012 collection just got cut to pieces by French journalist, Virginie Mouzat of Le Figaro.

I think my status as a fashion blogger is reason enough for why I don’t agree with Guardian opinion writer Tanya Gold’s ploy for why she hates fashion. Regardless, I still appreciate Gold for her ballsy and witty opinions! According to Gold, “High heels are painful, designer clothes don’t make you beautiful and even the most successful models are thoroughly miserable.” Check out Gold’s reasoning here!

Hadley Freeman, head fashion editor at The Guardian, had this sarcastic statement to say about why models oftentimes pose awkwardly. Brilliance:
”Of course it is fashionable to look fey and feeble, because this suggests you do not eat much, which suggests you are thin, which suggests you can fit into Chanel sample-size clothes, which is the most important thing in the universe. And even if you can’t achieve this state of nirvana, if you pose in a manner that suggests feebleness — such as, say, folding your body in a pose that insinuates your bones have crumbled due to osteoporosis — you can fool onlookers into believing you are on the cusp of collapse. Malnutrition? Oh my God, like, such a good look.”
