Flip Flops - an ugly word for anyone who takes public transportation. When you wear all-around open shoes in New York City, you run the risk of getting garbage, creatures, gum, dirt, spit and other various sticky substances adhered to your toes. Gross! Most of the time, we keep these sandals reserved for grabbing a bagel in our respective neighborhoods and strolling the boardwalk on a sunny beach. Just because we’re in a recession doesn’t mean designer shoes are totally out of the question. Today, on Net-a-Porter’s The Outnet, a variety of Christian Louboutin shoes are down to just around $300! Okay, I know, that’s still a good chunk of money, but when Loubs run $800+, this is certainly a bargain! Get on it folks, because these babies are going fast! I totally cried tears of blood when I saw that the Hercule Leather Pumps were sold out.

The Outnet, Net-a-Porter’s anticipated outlet site, launched this morning with 200 brands – and more to come. Besides organizing items by category, the site also gives you outfit suggestions according to event or occasion.

I say we impeach Santa Claus for withholding information! It’s nearly two weeks after the fat dude in the red suit paid me a visit, and this is how he gives me the greatest gift of all…by making me stumble upon it myself!? We’ll deal with him later, but there is a more important issue at hand. Come February Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet is slated to launch The Outnet, designer goods at reduced outlet prices! Finally, now we can actually buy something from the couture site instead of window-shopping from our newly renovated cardboard boxes!
