The  Pretty Reckless always put on a great show and this one is no different.  Momsen has been known to wear pretty provocative and outrageous outfits on stage and last night definitely proved it as she shook and swayed herself on staging wearing sky high goth boots and a see through nightie.

I’ll will say the girl has guts.

So for all of you Gossip Girl lovers out there who saw Jenny Humphrey make an appearance on last night’s episode aka The Pretty Reckless’ lead singer TAYLOR MOMSEN you must have noticed her rocking Donna Karan’s Black Micro Tulle Net Small Net Pantyhose!!

I know longest name ever but as a very serious tights collector these are wicked! Everyone knows Donna Karan pantyhose are an essential to complete any fall layered look!

Though there seems to be a ton of uproar surrounding Taylor Momsen’s “new image” lately, the actress/singer seems to be scoring a bunch of new modeling gigs. News has it Taylor will be the face of John Galliano’s new scent, which is set to release this fall.

Last night, Nylon Magazine had a party at the Puma Social Club, and Taylor Momsen’s band ” The Pretty Reckless” were there playing  live. Their set was great, and this kid has talent. More photos and video after the jump…

The record starts with Momsen singing in a monotone voice: ” Take me I’m alive. Never was a girl with a wicked mind, but everything looks better when the sun goes down…”

“Make Me Wanna Die” sounds like something ripped out of  Momsen’s  diary about a boy that she thought was to good for her.Expressed in not a prim or proper way, but  more of  a “I’m going to fucking kill you for breaking my heart” way…

“My Medicine” starts off with  Taylor taking a puff of her cigarette and  is a clear take on being drugged or smoking the wrong stuff and maybe even a claim of bisexuality. “I got a woman to your left and a boy to your right, start to sweat so hold me tight/somebody mixed my medicine, I don’t know what I’m on” .

“Goin Down,” a typical jailbait rock anthem is reminiscent to the early “Runaways/Kim Fowley” 70s punk scene. It tells the tale of a teenage girl going to church and telling the priest that her cherry is bombed and if it’s OK to be having underage sex. “Hey there father,  I don’t wanna bother you, but I’ve got a sin to confess. I’m just sixteen if you know what I mean.Do you mind If I take off my dress? There was this boy who tore my heart in two, I had to lay him eight feet underground.”

The record concludes with eerie track, “Zombie.” ” To all of you who’ve wronged me, I am a zombie.”  The song seems to be about being pushed and bullied to the point where  you are so hurt where one cannot feel it anymore.

The Pretty Reckless’s EP combination of  strident guitars playing at furious punk speed  and Taylor’s  disorderly angst lyrics may just be the savior to the insides of every teenager’s inner problems.

Don’t confuse Taylor Momsen with little Jenny Humprey from TV’s Gossip Girl. She is her own woman with her own band, The Pretty Reckless, who are releasing their EP today. Keep reading to find out Taylor’s view on music, fashion, and her public image…

Alex Kazemi:  When did you decide you were going to become a musician? Was music always something you were interested in?

Taylor Momsen: I’ve been playing and writing since I was young, around 5, it has always been a love of mine.

Kazemi: What influences the lyrics on your album? Tell us about your song writing process.

Taylor: My songs come from all sorts of places. I usually find an idea or topic I want to write about and start there.  I’m influenced by whatever catches my attention.  It can be a stressful process, waiting for a good idea.

Kazemi:  Who is your favorite designer?

Taylor: Chanel.

Kazemi: Would you ever design your own fashion line? If so, what kind of pieces would the line consist of?

Taylor: I’d love to, but I’d want to be able to give it a lot of attention.  Probably lots of dresses, skirts, and shirts.

Kazemi:  Do you have a favorite song on the record?

Taylor: They all are special in their own way.

Kazemi: What  influences your personal style? It has been described as provocative. Do you agree?

Taylor: I’m not looking to be provocative, I just like certain looks on me. There are no real direct influences. I mix and match and try to come up with something that makes me feel good.

Kazemi:  Do you have any intentions to have the record go mainstream?

Taylor: Not sure if that’s my choice, however, if I can get it out for people to hear it is good enough for me.

Kazemi: Do you think it’s going to be hard to make that transition from being an actress to a musician?

It has its issues, but I really don’t focus on that, I’m really excited about being able to play every day.

Kazemi:  What’s your favorite record of all time?

Taylor: All the Beatles records.

Kazemi: What is your honest opinion of yourself as a person?

Taylor: Not sure I have one. I’m just me, good or bad.

Kazemi: Does the style  of  Jenny from Gossip Girl reflect on your personal style?

Taylor: To some degree, sure.

Kazemi: You are always compared to Courtney Love and Hole? Does it bother you since you are more into Nirvana?

Taylor: They’re all great artists. I think we all want to be understood by people in some degree, but it doesn’t bother me.
