The Council of Fashion Designers of America has joined forces with the National Resources Defense Council on Clean by Design, a program seeking to significantly reduce the fashion industry’s environmental impact.

Call it a fashion foreign exchange program. The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund will launch a new initiative with China this spring when Proenza Schouler‘s Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez trek out to Shanghai and Shanghai-based designer Uma Wang takes a bite out of the Big Apple.
