RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Threeasfour S/S 2010
A few weeks ago, Fashion Indie gave you a sneak-peek at the Threeasfour and Yoko Ono collaboration for the label’s Spring 2010 collection. That peek, however, did little to no justice for what the pieces actually looked like. Ono’s hand-drawn print silk dresses floated down the runway alongside several structural masterpieces, constructed in a 3-D sculptural manner. I can’t say that I was crazy about the models’ makeup, but the immaculate construction certainly picks up the slack!

FIRST LOOK: Yoko Ono for ThreeASFOUR Spring 2010
Yoko Ono’s collaboration with ThreeASFOUR for their Spring 2010 collection marks a number of firsts: 1) Ono’s first ever fashion collaboration 2) the release of Ono’s rare dot drawings, as translated on cotton and silk prints 3) a preview of Ono’s newest album, “Between My Head And Sky.” With all these new and exciting things hitting the scene, it is needless to say that come ThreeASFOUR’s show at Milk Studios on September 17th, the intricate seams and legendary patterns are going to look just as good, if not better, than they do in these photos!

Behind The Scenes: ThreeASFOUR
Here’s a brief sneak-peek from spring/summer 2009 ThreeASFOUR behind the scenes! Coral colors, flowing fabrics and tasteful shell-like detailing. Simple and elegant!

NY Fashion Week: Threeasfour
Threeasfour took the liberty of playing with their already fresh and unique silhouettes for their Spring 2009 showing. Curvy seams, layers and hems were a trend to create a seemingly sea inspired look. With coral colors and shell-shaped necklines and drapes, Threeasfour made an innovative splash on the runway!

Threeasfour to Debut Swimwear Collection

Designers Gabi, Ange and Adi are building the eight-year-old label, and have created a capsule collection of swimwear to be unveiled during their spring 2009 runway show next month. The line will take its cues from Threeasfour’s signature elements, including asymmetrical lines and circular seaming.
While the three designers have previously dabbled in swim pieces for their shows, this will be the first time they plan to produce it for wholesale distribution. We will keep you posted on all that is Threeasfour, after all, they are one of my fave designers.
Thanks WWD
I’ll Kick Myself in the Ass Later, but Head to Gap Today

The Gap’s new collection featuring 3.1 Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, threeASFOUR, Michael Bastian and Philip Crangi jewelry has hit stores today. Above, chicks from NYLON rock the looks, further proving that NYLON’s staff lacks style (sorry lady but white rimmed glasses are SOOO Chloe Sevigny circa 2004 it hurts). I really, really want everything from the mens side of this collection since it’s the first time Gap is releasing mens goodies from Michael Bastian.
I will be at the Gap today, as should you, sad, yet uberly true.

Gap and the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Do the Dirty, AGAIN
![]()
Next week Gap in association with Diane Von Furstenburg’s pet project, the CFDA, releases their mucho anticipated Design Editions collection featuring the work of Philip Lim, Band of Outsiders, threeASFOUR, Michael Bastian and Philip Crangi. Unlike last years collection, which featured Doo.Ri, Rodarte and Thakoon, this collection will expand beyond womens white tees and feature menswear and jewelry. Holy shit, I might actually have to shop at the Gap.
You might want to get their early too, last years collections sold out mighty quick.
Runway: Threeasfour, Fall 08
To be completely honest, this was an extremely refreshing show from a group of designers that have really surpassed my initial expectations with a collection that was a fresh, inspiring, wearable and a must have for any one looking for a little more glam for their everyday. Their hues we’re perfect for the New York woman looking for a bit of color to liven up her fall wardrobe. Why these designers didn’t win the recent CFDA award is still a mystery, but this collection definitely shows that even with out all the glamour they still have the glitz.
Threeasfour for Gap
Rumored for some time now, and finally confirmed that indie darlings threeasfour will be doing a small capsule collection for Gap. Their first large collaboration, the collection is due in March and will uphold the unique style of the label. Around for some time now, designers Ange, Adi, and Gabi (CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists), have the art of fashion down to a science. The collections usually contain beautifully done flowy pieces, with great detail, and unique ingenuity. The fashion world has been buzzing about this, and we are all looking forward to at least a sneak peak.
