Style.com will launch a physical publication come the end of October — right after the last model has tripped off the catwalk of Paris Fashion Week – and in addition, they’ll be “dipping a toe” into e-commerce.

At the close of his Fall 2011 Haute Couture collection – his first runway show in 8 years — notorious recluse and pint-sized sass factory, Azzedine Alaïa received a rapturous standing ovation. Missing out on the lovefest was Anna Wintour — who was allegedly not invited — and the rest of American Vogue — whom she allegedly and strictly forebade to attend. Anna opted to attend the Harry Potter premiere with her niece, however the lack of Wintour clearly left no one feeling…cold.

The catalog for The Met‘s Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty is appropriately enough, as gorgeous as the exhibit, or so I’m told. The 250-page catalog has a holographic cover of a “gleaming skull,” quotes from the designer (such as “People find my things sometimes aggressive. But I don’t see it as aggressive. I see it as romantic, dealing with a dark side of personality.”), an introduction by Susannah Frankel — fashion editor of The Independent, a Tim Blanks interview with McQueen successor Sarah Burton and photos by Sølve Sundsbø, 20 more of which have just been released for mass gagging.So what are you waiting for, start gagging!

Most of us were in complete awe when the news came of McQueen’s sudden death, yet some were not as taken by it. Tim Blanks, a critic for Style.com, stated “I was thunderstruck by the news, and then not,” probably because McQueen did not hide his abuse with alcohol, drugs, and sex.
Lee Alexander McQueen was found in his home this morning, he ended his own life days after the death of his mother on Feb. 2 and the day before her funeral.
