Girl groups: They sing. They dance. They look good. They inspire little girls to be a little slutty in their formative years. And some have done it better than others. Their outfit choices were integral with their success. As you’ll see on this list, the best dressed have risen to the top, while the ‘hos and the boring kind of fizzled after the hits. Which songbirds sizzled? And which go No no no no no?

Diana Ross and the girls were impeccable. They are The Beatles of the girl group realm. Simply, and sparkly, the greatest.

Sluts. All of them. Even the ginger, in the palazzo pants. Dolls, go get dressed.

The Spice Girls inspired a generation of little girls to buy blue plastic skirts and platform sneakers. And it was GOOD! With each their own personality, we learned that an athlete and a diva can be bff, and that leopard print is wildly acceptable. Girl power.

Never ever have I ever seen such snoozy outfits. Jeans. T-shirts. Come on. If you want to be pop stars, dress like it! One hit wonder... then we saw them.

Yes, ladies, we're calling this a best. Pants that could fit a family of four were everything, EVERYTHING then. This look may make you feel unpretty right now, but it was THE height of cool.

These girls. From spelling all of their song titles wrong, that one on the left looking like a hot self-tanned train-wreck, haters, they gon' hate.

Here I go, here I go, here I go again, girls what's my weakness? Leather jackets and chains.

Say you will, say you won't, say you'll never wear that again. The music bopped, but looks were atrocious. C'est La Vie

Thanks to Beyoncé's mama Tina Knowles who made their matching outfits in the early years, B, Kelly and Michelle always had their toes powerfully on the line between classy and scandalous. We say, yeah yeah yeah yeah.

I’ve always loved rooting for an underdog and since her debut in 2004, Ciara‘s been steadily churning out booty-shaking hits while never quite attaining the level of success of say, a Rihanna, a Beyoncé or even an Ashanti. Luckily, Givenchy‘s brooding creative director Riccardo Tisci is similarly obsessed with Cici and, known for his love of dogs, has annointed her one of his muses. Fashion has fully-embraced the songstress with a stunner of an editorial in Vogue Italia now Ciara returns with this shot from Vogue Paris.

I’m getting a little, or a lot, of Janet Jackson circa “You Want This” slash TLC circa “Waterfalls” right now. Which means I’m fully on board. Let’s just say that for one moment TLC’s scandalous show Toddlers and Tiaras starring the biggest little divas like baby Eden and baby Makenzie wasn’t stirring up so much controversy. We could look past the creepy flippers and focus on all the glitz and glamour of these stylish little pageant queens. We know there is a lot of backlash against such young ones dressing up so much, but we can’t help but secretly love the drag queen training from birth. What do you think of the little dolls?

RED CARPET REPORT CARD: Best & Worst of Kentucky Derby 2011

Kentucky Derby 137 took place on Saturday at the legendary Churchill Downs Racetrack, and some great records were broken. First off, 164,858 people were watching the race, setting a new attendance record and beating out the former number of 163,628. I believe this year’s Kentucky Derby also broke the record for least A-list celebrities in attendance. But hey, I’m only here to judge these folks on style, not talent or fame. In this edition of Red Carpet Report Card, we will look at the best and worst dressed of the 2011 Kentucky Derby.

Let’s start with the best of the derby, a hats off to those who tried their very best.

ESPN reporter Erin Andrews has my vote for best dressed at the 2011 Kentucky Derby. Her hat is spectacular, and she looks stunning in black and white. Give me a fitted top with palazzo pants any day.

I’m getting a little drowsy looking at Niki Taylor‘s nude and white outfit, but at least she looks elegant unlike some of the other heathens in attendance. Love the hat, but wish I could barf all over those sandals; they are pretty atrocious.

Look at Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas turning it out on the red carpet! I love that she wore a floral dress and matching pink shoes. I have a hat exactly like hers, and she has inspired me to dust it off and wear it this summer.

This is my favorite type of look for the Derby, and Kate Walsh got it just right. Neutral dress, nipped-in waist, sexy shoes and a single feather hat – Perfection.

Pepa & Salt are out of control, and I adore them. The ridiculous matching hats and dresses are priceless, love seeing them on the carpet together.

Now on to the worst of the derby, examining the “celebrities” that need serious fashion, and perhaps even mental, help.

If Aubrey O’Day was going for best stripper personality, she would have won for Little Bo Peep. But it seems she was trying to look good at the Kentucky Derby, which was a complete fail. I would pick apart the outfit and tell you why this is bad, but that would be wasting everyone’s time. This look is 100 percent awful.

THIS is why American Idol is a bad idea. I actually feel anger towards Jordin Sparks and her terrible outfit right now. Did she stain her dress at the last minute and have to borrow this from one of the horse stables? Or maybe her dry cleaners burned down? Whatever the excuse, apology not accepted.

I dig the fascinator, Maria Menounos, but the dress appears to be crafted with tissue paper by children. I don’t understand this craze with the extremely childish dresses, but it’s really time to grow up.

And here it is, the absolute worst outfit of the 2011 Kentucky Derby. There are dozens of things wrong with Miranda Lambert‘s look, but those cowboy boots should be burned so they never hurt anyone ever again. The slutty saloon girl wants her outfit back, and Lambert better oblige before my corneas combust with utter horror.

Kate Gosselin is Lonely, Thinks We Care

A friend to one of America’s biggest fame whores shares some concerns about the mother of eight. But I can’t imagine too many people are sharing the sympathy. Gosselin’s friend spoke to Radar Online and revealed that “Kate is really sad and lonely with few true friends.” It appears that the mother’s only true confidant is her body guard, Steve Neild. The interview with Radar Online doesn’t end before Kate’s friend gets the chance to add that “Even her kids have noticed their mom is sometimes too tired to play with them when the cameras are not rolling.” So basically Kate only acts like the perfect mother when the cameras are rolling. As if we didn’t suspect this already.

With the high rate of infidelity and whatnot during the past decade, it’s always comforting to see a devout husband reject a night with the guys, flirting with college girls at the local Hooters or a best friend turn down free tickets to Saturday Night Live to watch you butcher it at open mic night. But this, the Fanta girl look, has taken commit to a whole new, disturbing level. Why has it become necessary for chick bands to dress alike?
